Are kickoff related injuries blown out of proportion, or is there actual data saying that they are injury prone plays?
Next they will just start out with a rugby scrumStupid rule. It's just going to change how kickers contact the ball. More line drive and squib type kicks to make sure the opposing team can't fair catch it
its funny, that was funnyDumb as fuck and fucking dumb.

The next step is just eliminating the kickoff and starting at the 20 or 25 automatically. That would eliminate onside kicks, so no dice just yet.
Back in 2012, college football looked to encourage touchbacks by moving kickoffs from the 30-yard line to the 35 and also place touchbacks at the 25-yard line rather than the 20.
So why don't they just eliminate kick-offs all together then. Jesus Christmas
I read that they did that for the Pro Bowl. Not that I would ever watch the Pro Bowl to notice it.
When those douchbags tried to eliminate runbacks by moving up the kickoff line, they instead caused the invention of the "mortar kick," straight up and down landing on the 5 yard line. With punters generally able to drop the ball inside the 10 from just about anywhere, "tactical kicking" has become a bigger part of the game. I like it.
When Goofball and Company succeed in taking away the kicking game entirely, what the fuck are they going to call the game?
Who honestly gives a shit about injury?
This shit needs to stop.
Why would onside kicks go away? I don't think there's many injuries on those, is there? Are they saying they are doing away with those as well?
It'll be like the PAT/2 pt. conversion rule - you'll have to declare your intention to go for an onside kick.
