I think without a doubt we can all agree on Number 1

1. Joe Greene
2. Jack Lambert
3. Troy Polamalu
4. Mike Webster
5. Mel Blount
6. Jack Ham
7. Hines Ward
8. John Stallworth
9. Rod Woodson
10. Jerome Bettis

IMO
No doubt... I was going to mention Webster, but I see you already sorted that out! lol

Ben still needs to be in there... Swap Ham out?

IMO

this is a sound list, but I gotta find some room on there for either Greg Lloyd or Harrison, might have to take Stallworth off.

But then you could also say Stallworth needs to be replaced with AB too......

Nope... Like I said, Ben has already surpassed Terry in almost every single statistical category. He is dominating the franchise records. So his case is already etched in stone, no matter how many years he has left.

AB hasn't surpassed Hines or Stallworth to my recollection.

True, but in 165 games Stallworth had 8723 yards, as to where AB in 86 games is only 1630 yards behind Stallworth. That's a seasons worth for AB.

Like I said, if you're going to put current players on the list, then you have a larger list of players to go with......

Making a top 10 list even more difficult.

I'd still like to know how the NFL Network even included Bradshaw, let alone put him at #2

Because Bradshaw was put on a pedestal long ago for being one of the few with the 4 rings. Every time anybody talks about SB rings as an argument they have to bring Bradshaw into the discussion. It's hard not to bring rings into the discussion when talking about the greatest QBs, so it makes sense. But anyone with any real knowledge of the team will know the difference.

Agreed

But #2????? I mean back then if you'd of put just about any one in Bradshaw's cleats there would of been 4 and possibly more Super Bowls.

:lol:Except shit stain O'Donnell

No doubt, and its a great point. It is the main reason why I said "RIGHT NOW" for Hines or Stallworth to belong on that list. My main point is, AB hasn't cemented himself in the top of the list yet whereas Ben has. If AB were to hang up the cleats today, nobody would be able to say AB is/was the better WR than Stallworth because the stats will haunt him. Hard sell IMO. But Ben on the other hand... If he retired after last season he'd be the GOAT of Steelers QB's and hands down deserves to be on that list.

Great list! :suds:

As a side note... When I look at this list I see 3 groups:
1. Joe Greene
2. Lambert, Polamalu, Webster, Blount, Roethlisberger
3. Ham, Ward, Stallworth, Woodson

Anyone that wants to try & justify Greene as NOT being alone at the top will receive a swift kick to the nuts. Groups 2 & 3 are interchangeable within themselves. Ben is on the fringe of those groups, so I could put him in either.

Only person that I could argue belonging on this list (somewhere around 7-10) is Bettis. But that is really getting picky and not necessary.

Agreed.....
Not matter who you put you will always feel like you left someone off that deserves to be there......
And in the Bettis case, then you have to make the Harris case.....

It's a no win any way you look at it.

With @Ojb81 who are you pulling off the list to put on Harrison or LLyod???
Both are great, but better than a Ham or Lambert???? I don't see it.

Hey the jackass owner of the Browns @ 1 time owned a small part of the Steelers. The Rooney's should offer him a bigger share in hopes that dumbfuck sells the Browns to someone w/ a brain!

And Andy Russell? He made All-Pro both before and after Noll was hired.

I think Top 10 for this Franchise is ridiculous unless you make a break for different years/eras.
