Anybody have any insight to these guys? I know nothing about them, but I know we have some Cougars fans here that could give some info on Vaeao.

I only know what was in the article (really long or I would have posed the whole thing) but each player looked like they had film on each player (can't see the clips while at work) :(.

Unheralded NFL draft prospects part I: Seahawky defensive linemen

Unheralded NFL draft prospects part I: Seahawky defensive linemen

Defensive tackles
Michael Pierce, Samford
The Seahawks covet athletic freaks, and Pierce, as much as any defensive lineman entering the draft, fits that bill. After reading about his pro day I had to watch some film, and was impressed how he moves for his size. He’s 6003 and 329 pounds, and his fastest 40 time was 4.98 seconds (with a 5.01 average), speedier than Sheldon Rankins, who weighs 30 pounds less. Even more astonishing—and more significant for the position—than Pierce’s 40 time was his 10-yard split, which was clocked at 1.67 seconds, quicker than all but one offensive lineman entering the draft, and better than many of the tight ends.

DeMarcus Hodge, Arkansas
Similar to Michael Pierce, Hodge is a short, squat, massive, athletic interior defensive lineman with a low center of gravity and great strength. Unlike Pierce, Hodge faced off against superior competition, and looks like a less-raw prospect.

Destiny Vaeao, Washington State
Vaeao is one of several Wazzu draft prospects I’ve looked into, and like Joe Dahl on the other side of the ball, appears to tick all the Seahawky boxes. In addition to explosive test numbers (including a ridiculous 35.5" vertical leap for a 295-pound guy), Vaeao has some interior pass-rushing ability and very good production that improved each year.

Just watch Michael Pierce clip again. He sure looks good in them. Couldn't find any game video of him, not a lot of interest in Samford I guess. Obviously the level of competition is much lower then a major college player goes up against.I'd love to Seahawks take a flyer on that guy.

It's Christmas time for NFL fans. If we don't trade out, we got a new Hawk joining in a few hours.

Go Hawks!!!!

I expect he will fall out of top ten, if reports about the injury are right. Could fall much further.

Not to put the cart before the horse, but do the Seahawks look at him (even with injury) if he's there at 26?

I hope not, I know he's talented, but give someone ready to play this year. Not sure Myles will be able to play this year, but then I really don't know how bad the injury is.

Yeah, not sure. If it is just a miniscus, then we're looking at a relatively short recovery. If there is microfracture surgery, then that's a different story.

LT? Don't think there's any other reason for us to want to move up.

I always sit here and think "you've had 10 days to decide who you want, what is taking so long?" when the first team uses their entire time.

Possible. I always thought of him going in top 15, but tonight I looked at the draft, and he could possibly be there, depending on how teams look at him and Dodd

Again, not surprised.

I know he isn't popular, but booing Goodell every time he comes out gets old.

Joey Bosa.

I had them taking DeForest Buckner. It only took 1 pick past the QBs for me to start out thinking myself.

Ezekiel Elliot.

I know this has been rumored, but I think it's a mistake, but I'm not Jerry Jones.

Kind of a surprise, they needed defensive players. Still EE behind that line could be good.
