I posed a question about him in this thread, post #948. I don't know where he's projected or whatever, but in my limited exposure to the guy, I wouldn't be opposed to grabbing him at 9/10. Another guy that's getting really hyped up is Marcus Davenport. He's had a rough week of practice at the Senior Bowl, but if he lights it up in the game......the whole league will be on notice.
I was amazed at how skinny Davenport's legs are.

Inside out, front to back!!:):) Go 49ers!!:):)

on defense, Saleh said this D already has the inside. So to finish the 'out', we REALLY need a LEO to get sacks, and open it up for others. Buckner would definitely get more stats, and Thomas would see an uptick. Doesn't seem like there are solid LEO candidates, but we've been seeing Edmunds in the mocks. Why no mention of Harold Landry lately?

on offense, everyone knows we need to address the 'in' and 'front'. But there are only so many high draft picks, we'll see what is addressed first?

I agree I think that if we can draft solid players at OT, CB, WR, MLB, C we can have the players at good price for 4 or 5 years and get FAs for a lower price!:) Keep the cap under control! Go 49ers!!:)

I think we may need 2 at just about every position!
In another life and on another site I use to railed if the need is there and the well deep enough. Then doubling down was the way to go

When KLLF was still kicking. I use to often advocate drafting more of 1 at postions of need.
Depending on on thestrengths of the draft and how it might project to break down.
Often using the top 2 picks the Niners possesed

Last year, got a C then cut him. Got All American G out, Got LB injured before season!?!..

Thats part of the off season game, you try your luck on FA's, and injuries happen....even in the off-season. That is why draft CLASSES are huge, if you can be successful with mid/late picks, depth improves.

Looks like LB might be a bigger need than anything in light of more Foster troubles.

The spot that needs the most attention is CB. Those guys get hurt all the time, more than offensive linemen.

Not to mention we don't have depth for NB, which in today's NFL...is almost a starter.

I think CB will be to hard to fill between a deep Free agent group and draft class.

maybe, but we still have to fill it. something has to go first and it may not be CB, but clearly we need CB's more than LB's. Even without Foster, there is Malcolm Smith and Brock Coyle, ie we have SOMEBODY.

At CB, there is only Witherspoon. Also IMO, CB's get hurt more than ILB's.

I meant to say won't be hard to fill. It's a deep free agent group and draft class. I could easily see them draft two and sign a couple FA's. If Foster is out then LB probably becomes one of the more pressing needs. I would say CB, DE, LB and OL are the biggest needs.

Yeah, ok, debatable as to which is the more pressing need. For me i will still say CB simply because we only have one. If you feel it is ILB, that is fine. Also IMO, CB is harder to fill than ILB.

Either way we all know they will address the 'pressing needs' in free agency. Granted not necessarily signing the top FA's, regardless of the spot(s).

I agree CB is a bigger need but this year there are a lot of good CB available in free agency and in the draft so I should be easier to fill then maybe it has been in the past. LB wasn't something that I saw as a big need but in light of Foster being an idiot it becomes a bigger need than it should have been one they will have to address in the draft or free agency probably both.
