Walter Payton and Gale Sayers made the top 12 of all-time......Bronko Nagurski who was a top player for the 75th anny had dropped out.....
Walter and the great Jim Brown were the only two unanimous players selected to the team.........

Glad to see ol'no.34 the NfL leading rusher when retired,a 9x probowler, plus many more accolades, still revered as a top player of all-time.........congrats

RIP Walter.... ....

Walter and Jim Brown are the two best of all-time. 1A and 1B to me. Barry was phenomenal but his home run hitting style didn't exactly move the chains and it came back to bite them in the as in a few big games.

All were studs and back when RB's actually mattered too. :)

It's cool, I looked em up.

Couple of oldie moldies I don't really know much about.

Marion Motley, Lenny Moore and Dutch Clark. Couldn't even tell you what team they played for.

I watched Walter from his rookie season as 12 yr old punk ass kid.....Many memories.

I was such a big fan of his, my son was born in 87 his last season and named his midddle name after Walter....
I have a 2 yr old grandson whos first name is Payton.........hopefully someday a great grandson will have the name to carry on....

Dutch Clark?

I think he owns the hardware store up town. Did my drywall work.

Dutch Clark is a dependable fella.

I want prime Gale Sayers as my starting HB in my all time team, and he'd be my kick returner and punt returner, too. Obviously, Payton had the greatest career, though, of any RB.

Eww.

This old "hot take" opinion? On a Bears board?

Take that shit to the "I REALLY want to have a contrarian opinion" forum.

Even on a per game basis. Sayers doesn't come close to measuring up to Walter.

A couple of more Bears make it to the top all time players......

A unanimous decision for Dick Butkus at mlb.....Which is a no brainer.
Bill Hewitt and Doug Atkins as des......(never seen these guys play)
Cant believe there was no love for Singletary......Who I really thought would make that list.

And Alan Page......if you wanna include his latter playing days with Chicago before turning as a judge.........which I remember watching no.82 play.......

Congrats guys.........

I just can't wait to see the qb list.........:dhd:

MLB is insanely crowded. We weren't going to get two of them and Ray Lewis is more deserving if we take off our homer glasses.

Well we had two on the d-line,so its not too absurd to say we were not getting two of them.....
Singletary has always been a highly regarded mlb of all-time.......Maybe he just missed out.....
And Id definetley take him over Seau.....

And who the hell is Joe Schmidt.......?

And as far as Ray Lewis goes......fuck that murdering thug.sob should be in prison......

And who the hell is Joe Schmidt.......?

Lions 53-65 when they were actually good.
8 time all pro & 10 time pro bowler.

He was an ok coach for several years after that.. > .500 anyway, which is more than I can say for most of their coaches.
