Man not a lot of respect for us. I prefer it that way. I am sure harbs has showed them this. We need to set the tone on defense early and often. And on offense stay away from cute crap. O-line has to pave the way for Gore. Kaep needs to make decisions faster. He hesitates to use his legs. I want him to run if that is what he reads.

LET'S GO NINERS!!!!!!!

agree, we should start off balanced on offense, no cute stuff. also agree next to Kaep (obviously), it'll be the O-line. we have enough talent at the skill positions.

on defense not expecting us to "shut them down", but maybe keep them to more field goals?

No you never can stop Rodgers. But I think they key here is Cowboy. If we can get pressure with just 4 men then we will be on our way. Hopefully Aldon's legs are back and Justin is effective.

Matt Barrows:

Billy Cundiff taking warm-up kicks. I'd be surprised if he's active for today's game. Too many ?s along the d-line.

Tim Kawakami:

Cundiff is just blasting 'em in from 55 right now. Oops, just missed one. But a large leg, that's for sure. Oh well, don't need him.

I'm wondering about the short kicker/long kicker scenario. Akers <40, Cundiff >40.

You know if it comes down to it I bet Bruce Miller could play DL if he needs to

He'd have to play OLB, but I know what you mean.

Wasn't he on the line when he played at South Florida?? I would rather have him on the line then at the OLB position, he would have to cover somebody maybe at some point.

I think he played DE, but that's not quite the same as a 3-4 DE like Ray and Justin play.

He played all over on defense. I was really excited when he was drafted because I wanted him to and really thought he could play as a situational rusher.

He plays a pretty good fullback too.

It's amazing what a difference a year makes. This time last year we were basking in the glory of a surprising season. We were playing with house money regardless of how we fared against the Saints. This year, SB or a major disappointment.

I was thinking about that today, too. The last 2 years or so really changed expectations. I'm trying to change my attitude somewhat.

The seedings just fell bad for us. We had to play the conference's best team in the first round.
