These coaches probably do not want to work for Trent and Jed. Damn, it's not like the Niners are the Jaquars or Titans. Niners have talent, especially on the defensive side and they are avoiding the Niners like a plague.

It's not official until Tomsula and Co. fail.

I hesitate to say they had no plan, I just don't think they really thought through how firing Harbaugh and hiring Tomsula would look to a lot of people. They've gone after guys, they just keep getting turned down. Like in 2009, it's a tough sell to an OC to come in and coordinate a team that wants to run, run, run and win on defense.

I think that ship has sailed as soon as they promoted tomsula. My best guess is Shanny has a number and that number is higher than Tomsula number to be HC let alone OC. We might be able to still get him but it would be like north of 3.5m/yr. and have to give him an extra title to boot like Supreme advisor to the HC= Hc Sr..

Right now, they made a mockery of the whole situation and will make a face saving move and claim its what they had landed all along in all likelihood. Pay Shanny would be the smart move. Heck with yes man Tomsula the HC, you could prolly Shanny more than him and still be fine with it.

Yes I agree I think its because of york and baalke and Tomsula. To be honest some of these guys probably think they are a better HC then Tomsula. This is putting the 49ers in a bad position.

I don't know that he would want the job. Look at the offensive staff he has to work under him now.

49ers are now looking at Steve Logan from Europe football(Rein Fire). HE did coach for Tampa in 2011 This is a Joke I hope.

Here are some names maybe the 49ers should at least look at. Some up and coming OC.

Oregon OC: Scott Frost
Texas Am OC: Jake Spavital
LSU OC: Cam Cameron
Auburn OC: Rhett Lashlee
Baylor OC: Philip Montgomery

These are just Ideas. Some young and up coming coaches. I really like Frost and Montgomery.
