I am actually a defender of Cam Newton and have been for years. That being said, I wouldn’t trade for him and his broken body. Why not give our current QB a fair shake?

His OL was never bad. He made them look bad, just like Luck made the Colts OL look bad.

williams’s team was bad, and his oline was plenty bad.

I think some of Cam Newton’s olines were bad too, but not all of them.

Newton has taken the most hits of any qb in the past x amount of years. That’s a fact. Not all of that is due to how big of a target he is either.

I defend Cam at making plays last longer and making things happen. I defend Cam giving away footballs and his personality.

To say he made his OL look bad because he held the ball too long is just being honest. In order to extend plays, you have to hold the ball longer. Sack totals make the OL look bad but sometimes it is best for the football team.

Yep...still hating on Luck who got himself injured extending plays and holding the ball too long, thereby, destroying his body and forcing his retirement.

And negatory on acquiring Cam if it involves us having to give up a draft pick. Plus Cam is too, too, something. Too flighty. We need a leader, doesn't necessarily have to be a QB, and that's not to say Cam isn't a leader, but he has other things going on. The shit he wears to games for instance has got to take him hours, maybe days, to plan/think about.

He's also w/o warrant too big headed. Having an ego, even a really healthy one is cool, but when Cam was asked, about being the LeBron of the NFL and responded by saying, "Why can't people say LeBron is the Cam Newton of the NBA?" He pretty much lost me and not even making an attempt to recover that fumble on Von Miller's 2nd strip/sack made it a done n done deal.
