Understood. I guess I meant it's going to be interesting to see who perceives enough value in him to make a compelling enough offer.Not really. He's a free agent and they want to see Severino in the rotation. I can't see them getting more than a fringe prospect for him.

pretty big disparity in Nova's FIP/xFIP marks. His 4.84 FIP is very mediocre, but his 3.93 xFIP is solid. He's been awfully HR prone for a guy with a 54.9% groundball rate, and it hasn't just been because of Yankee Stadium. A 20.7% HR/FB rate is rather high.
He's mediocre. When he's good he's really good and when he's bad he's really bad. Decent back of the rotation guy but that's about it. A team like the Mets could use him as their 5th starter right now and put Verette back to long relief/middle innings.
You could do worse than Nova as your #5 starter... see Kelly/Buchholz/O'Sullivan/etc.
