I disagree with you. Cano is 10x the player Ellsbury is. He is the best 2nd baseman in the game. Like I said 1 good season for ellsbury. He will never reach 25+ again in HRs.


We just pulled a Crawford. This kid will be hurt most of his time in NY. So pissed at this move. I rather have Shin Choo for less money and he gives you everything. Defense, Power and some speed.

Good Riddens Cano. We made the right move by not signing him back. As you have seen with Pujols 10 yr deals for a player over 30 is retarded and Cano wasn' even close to being as good as Pujols was at the time he signed his deal. We will be fine and use our money that was supposed to go to him on 2 more good players

Tanaka isn't going to be posted. Yankees are screwed with pitching. I hope they make a trade with someone. I don't mind starting 1 young guy at the 5th spot.

We have 3 legit pitchers right now but we do not have a #1 but right now CC, Nova, and Kuroda are a good top 3. Now we just need one more and as Purguy said I wouldn't mind starting a young guy at the 5 spot. Wouldn't Phelps be a good option for #5?

I don't get Omar picking Royals because of 1 year. He is only making 7.5 instead of 8 million the Yankees were giving. Play for the Yankees or the Royals ummmmmmm easy pick.

I don't get some of these players. I wonder if Omar and his agent tried to get at least a Mutual option for the 4th from the yankees. If so and the Yankees said no then thats their fault.

What do you guys think about the Roberts and Thornton deals? I wonder who will be the everyday 2B? Or maybe Roberts is insurance if A-Rod gets suspended because Johnson would be the everyday 3B probably. Thornton will basically replace Boone

They are both deals made with only the goal of 189M in mind, which is a fantasy at this point. There is no way this team is getting under that number, no way.

Roberts is a joke, he won't make it out of spring training without getting hurt and Thornton is nothing to get excited about.

All in all a pretty wasteful day, but this is life with a farm that's doesn't grow players, only cash.

Shin Choo got screwed by Boras. How do you turn down 140 million for 7 years. Yankees offered this after they signed Ellsbury and when Boras said he wanted the same as Ellsbury Yankees pulls over and signed Beltran right away. Crazy stuff.
