Assuming Glenn wants to get away from zone this season now.
Ennis Rakestraw, another corner. I would have been happy with either corner we drafted
Great timing. Surprise, surprise, another CB.

He looked about as excited as you are when he was taken.Cant even say how much I dont like this pick. I didnt want him at all never mind after taking the best CB in the draft already.
Dude will be a penalty machine and never turns his head to locate the ball. We just dumped 2 of those guys last year only to draft another. I would have rather we took BeeBe at that point. He looked about as excited as you are when he was taken.
Not at all.
Unless Glenn approaches things differently, this isn’t a good fit.
See above. There should be a few decent receiving options left in the 5th round when we pick again.
Which seems about right for replacing Reynolds.
But not much Interior OLine that I want to rely on to replace any of our current guys.
I would be OK with it if somehow he becomes a safety. I like the idea of drafting big less fluid CBs and moving them to safety.I like the pick. I am so tired of having the worst secondary in football, 30 years is enough of it. Rakestraw will likely not play a lot this year. He can spend the year working on technique.
I have to admit I was more critical than I should have been about that too. Still liked the draft overall though. Not sure I will be able to say that this year. I know I dont like this second pick but really like the first.VIDEO: Entire Detroit Lions draft war room sporting new ‘villain’ hoodies

I think he is more athletic than combine testing showed. He did all those with an injury, and his 10 yard split was still elite. I am excited to see what he ends up being. The pass defense last year improved when Glenn shifted to press man schemes once Iffy hit the field. Adding two of the better corners at that feels like a win to me.I would be OK with it if somehow he becomes a safety. I like the idea of drafting big less fluid CBs and moving them to safety.

It is starting to look like he is a slot guy. Maybe we move Branch to safety full time. It could also mean Mosely is never going to be ready to play or may be a shell of what he was after a blown ACL in each knee.I think he is more athletic than combine testing showed. The center from Penn state would be a decent late round pick. He has upside.I still would have preferred Beebe or Haynes there. Guards are getting paid now, it will be more difficult keep those spots filled with short term in future years.
Oline really lacks depth all over. We need to add something, or pray for uncommon health on the line
He sounds like Connor Galvin 2.0.Well if they can coach that guy it could be a massive win.
