I mean, do you guys have anything else you would like to talk about concerning this team BESIDES Andy Dalton?

I get it, you all think he is a piece of shit and not worth having in this league more less our team...cool beans.

What else should be discuss concerning this team?

Should Gio be getting more carries?

Who should get more snaps at #2 WR this week, Sanu or Jones?

When Baby Hawk comes back, why should he be given more chance than Sanu, Jones, Sanzenbacher?

Which player on our offensive line should be the first to get replaced? With whom maybe?

Is Michael Johnson capable of being resigned?

What is everyones opinion of Maualuga this year? I have not heard anyone bitching about him, so he must be doing his job pretty well.

Was Harrison worth the amount of money we gave him considering we have been playing nickle most the season?

Is everyone okay with Burfict and his firey attitude even though now it is seems to be making refs target him even if he is doign nothing wrong. Neither one of those PF against Burfict last week were PF's, not even close.

Our secondary is old and injury prone...should that be our #1 pick overall again next year with the age of our starting DB's, and our young guys always hurt?

Anyone else impressed with Illoka this year like I am? Also, I have not been too terribly disappointed in Mays like I was last year. Iloka deserves the starting spot, but I have been pleasantly surprised by Mays.

I wish Shawn Williams would get something going. I thought he had a good amount of talent and should have competed for the starting job a lot more than he did.

PS..Our punter is awesome. I had him in my mock draft back when he got drafted in like the 4th round. People crucified me for wanting a punter in the 4th round, but we took him in round 5 anyways and he has been awesome ever since he got here.

Nah, we'd rather just trash Dalton (j/k)

Gio should get 17-20 touches a game.

Jones

Hawk is more electric than Sanz. He should be in the slot a lot.

Replace Cook, draft a LT for the future.

Yes

He is serviceable against the run. Still crappy against the pass.

Yes, fantastic against the run

Yes, Burfict is fine

CB in the 1st or the 2nd is a must

Illoka is playing well. I'm impressed. Mays is playing better too

We don't know how much progress Williams is making because Illoka is playing so well

Huber is playing well

Andy Dalton still stinks.

Kinda redundant. We already know Dalton sucks, so what's the point in bringing it up?

I am very concerned about our secondary actually. We might have actually found our other S, but with the age of Newman, Hall and Jones, along with the injury prone history of Kirkpatrick and Ghee, we are pretty much FUBAR'd in the near future regarding that position. We saw what happens when Hall doesn't play, as Cleveland just passed all over us with a journeyman QB.

I am wondering if we would be better served saving the money we could be spending on Michael Johnson and go after a decent FA CB in the offseason to pair with Hall who is not long in the tooth.

Corners I think are an every year problem until we luck into a good pair of them. Of course we already did that once and weren't smart enough to keep them both.

baby hawk never really got that many snaps, he makes a few plays against teams that don't respect his speed, and that's about it.

In general, what is the most important question for every one of of the 32 teams in the NFL?

The answer is easy.... Are they getting good qb play.

Why would you be so offended that qb play is the major focus for THIS board?

The issues with the secondary are important..... The issues with the second receiver are important. But both of those issues are much less likely to effect the ultimate success of this club.

BTW -- If you're truly interested in all those issues, make a separate post about them.

I'd be happy to talk, ad nauseam about Burfict and his trajectory. His punk attitude worries me and despite what Marvin says, I think other teams are bating him into PFs and I think refs are ready to call him for it.

We have to take a QB in the first 2 rounds this year. There are a lot of good ones. I'd be ok if we took 2 in the first 2 rounds. If we are going to sign a CB I'd go with either: Charles Tillman, Aqib Talib, DRC, Tim Jennings. Though I'd rather have Michael Johnson than any of them.

I would love to sign Talib, but that just isn't us.

Seems like every time I watch a game not involving the Bengals, it's not long before I see at least one, and many times both quarterbacks, making plays that I've never seen Dalton make before. That's not only a disturbing trend, but a major handicap we have to overcome on a nearly weekly basis.

The first touchdown Wilson threw last night where be broke out of the pocket, jumped, turned his body mid air and hit Rice 40 yards down field for a TD was a throw Dalton only makes in his dreams. And even then he overthrows it most of the time.

If you think there's any chance of drafting a QB this offseason, prepare to be disappointed. It's not happening. I'd like to see a CB very early, maybe a LB.

We should probably draft a corner in the first round. Marvin is on record saying that starting corners are 1st rounders..... He's also taken 3 first round corners in his tenure. I think it will be the top priority of the draft.

We might also need a tackle if AC leaves.

Ha ha.... I thought it was a little crazy that someone would advocate taking qbs in the first two rounds.

Because it has been beating like a dead horse. We get it, he sucks donkey balls and is not worth being an NFL QB. Except the fact he will be here another 8 years, so I hope you are ready for that since Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis call the shots, not you or I, so very little reason discussing the WHAT IF game repeatedly. Once in a while is cool, but every topic, every post it seems is about Dalton. For F sakes, this entire board is so infatuated with him it is sickening.

I just wanted to discuss a few other topics, I am sorry if I am not allowed to post several topic ideas in one thread. I figured a nice long running topic that didn't involve Dalton would be nice, however, post #2 derailed that almost immediately, even if Doug was just poking fun.

The entire topic, I gave several good topics, 2/3 of them are still about F'ing Dalton! Even if I seperated the f'n topics, 2/3rd fo the comments would be about Dalton, that regardless of what happens here or here, as long as we have Dalton, we suck. There is no getting around it with you knuckleheads is the problem.

Can we just discuss something else for a while? We can get back to Dalton on Sunday afternoon when he is f'n up the game with a 65% completion percentage, 330+ yards and 3 TD passes. That f'n bum. I hate it when my QB can't get closer to 90% completion and throw for 500 yards with 7 TD's. That is what an NFL QB now a days should be doing, every other QB in the NFL does it, why can't Dalton?

Okay, how about them Reds?

I think you're just sensitive Crash. I'd say that I post one or two new topics each week and I'd say that they are mostly not about Dalton. I also like beating dead horses about...... Orson Charles (and why it's stupid we kept him), Nebraska football players (and why they are sociopaths), Marvin Lewis (and why he's a complete moron) and Harold Reynolds (letting everyone know he was fired).

And if we stopped bitching abut things that we couldn't change (such as the fact that Dalton will be here forever), we'd never post about anything. We have no control over Mr. Brown's football team.
