Please don't remind me of this guy.

For the fun of it, we should put the stats side by side of the offense under Raye and the stats under Chryst. Somehow I get this funny feeling the stats are worse under Chryst.

I wonder who the coach will be. I have a feeling they will throw us a curve ball and hire OC from Tampa Bay.

No kidding. According to Matty M and Silver, they think the 49ers are going to make a decision soon. Can't imagine who that could possibly be.

The divisionals are this weekend. York will have 4 teams worth of assistant coaches to interview if he wants.
My guess is The Giants might offer the best situation regarding ownership, NY being a media mecca, having an established QB with 2 rings, and playing in the NFCE. That might be too much for Hue to pass up.

good point and i have to believe one of them is the target all along.

for me, not worried about getting a HC, there are enough candidates out there. Some already have name recognition, and some are up and comers. The HC doesn't need to be the best at X's and O's, he needs to be good at managing and leading people.

Hue Jackson will become the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns. "They made me feel comfortable," he just told me.

Gase said no and If i was Gase I wouldnt go to the 49ers after what they did. 49ers would have to pay double to land him.
Lane Kiffin is an option.

Makes sense that Cleveland pushed to get him, they are drafting a QB

Starting to look like another bad year with coaching candidates falling.

The Browns have had 2 winning seasons since re-entering the league in 1999. That includes a grand total of 1 playoff appearance in the last 17 years.

We were overlooked for that.

Give the Browns credit, at the end of the day they went out and got the guy they wanted. The 49ers didn't.

From what I've read, part of it came down to control with the Browns giving HJ at least some control over personnel. I don't know how much control they are giving him, but I'd say more than the 49ers were willing to give. They also pursued him harder. Their owner stayed away from the NFL meetings and sent his wife to represent him. Both Jed and John York felt the NFL meeting was more important than solving their HC issue.

I would be ok with that they had a good offense this year and he's a veteran coach.
