Actually Kap is a starter. We will find out next year what Kap really is. Again Im not making this a Kap vs Smith thing. I will just say Kap has a better playoff record and made it to a super bowl. Smith has not.

Overall I'm happy we are done with Smith and I will be happy if we move on from Kap. Its time to find that next QB for this franchise.

I never said I wanted him as the next HC. I was just stating that the Niners, not the Browns had the worst offense last season. Both teams are similar, bad offense and a dysfunctional FO.

Smith is a better decision maker and steadier player than Kaepernick who is basically a one trick pony.

OK. Thanks. The 49ers tried to interview him for DC last year and Cincy blocked them. Now it appears both Gase and Jackson want him as DC. He used to be on 49ers staff 2005-2006

He never got back on the field, just like Smith when he had a concussion. Bottom line is that he was benched because he was ineffective. Let's hope the new coach does not pin his hopes and success on Kap. Don't really want to debate with you about him being a starter. All I know is that majority of the people on this board don't want him back.
