some of it is scheme, some of is what we have for talent on the oline, some of it is not being very imaginary with run scheme. So we can be balanced. A healthy TA made the oline look better then it really was. I'm not the biggest fan of MR and what he wants to do offense or defense for that matter. Until he can show me they can recruit the right talent for the oline to run his offense and we will find out 1/7 if they don't get one of those tackles it will be a huge red flag in my eyes. But hey at least MR is a nice guy.

I was supportive of Pelini until that last year, but I didn't feel great about it. And to be fair, that (and Callahan) were all I had really known for coaching at Nebraska, so some of the stuff that I can look back on now and say "Wow, that's pretty indefensible" were more easily justified. I don't know if Riley will work out. I hope he does.

The comment you quoted was probably out of line but some of the reasoning that is used on this board is flat out bad logic and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the game. This staff inherited a roster that was in shambles coupled with a locker room that didn't even want to buy in. People act love pointing to schools like Michigan as an example of why we should just be able to turn it around in no time, completely ignoring that they have recruited in the top 10 for a decade plus. Unrealistic expectations could very easily be the permanent death of Nebraska as a football power.

I think we get Calvin then but I fully expect the rest of the class the go the way our season did in the end, seems to me we never regained our ground when coach W got sent to jail. Not nervous just accustomed to it after 10+ years in a row
