Dude couldn't even come up with an original screen name. I see his threads are cut from the same cloth.

I was Wild Turkey at CBS and had no idea the Hoop had one so I actually PM the dude to apologize to him and let him know I wasn't a copy cat stalker. I felt bad but once you sign up you can't do anything about it.

NU has sold 2,800 Gator Bowl tickets : Latest Husker News

Nebraska sold 2800 and Georgia sold 7000 at the time of this writing.

Athens GA is a six hour drive, Nebraska is a four hour flight.

Keep on celebrating those mythical championships.

So its a shorter time frame to get there from Nebraska and thats bad somehow? In a car you cant sleep unless you're not driving. Every time I have been on a plane i didnt have to fly the plane, so i could sleep if i wanted to. Some flights are actually cheaper than taking a car when you add in all the wear and tear, fuel, insurance costs, etc.

Are you really arguing that it is easier/cheaper to get from Nebraska to Florida than from Georgia to Florida?

No, no, no. Not average attendance. How many years in a row has your stadium been sold out?

I guess it depends on you define sold out because the season ticket packages always sell out but all tickets are not in packages so there are individual tickets for crap games that don't sell. I have no idea why they do it that way but my guess is it maximizes profits in the Greater Auburn Fund that cost about $400 a ticket before the ticket prices.

Oh please.

Only one person needs to drive, the rest can sleep. I highly doubt all the Georgia fans drive themselves and wave to their buddies in the next vehicle.

Quite a few Nebraska fans have to travel four hours by car to the airport. So, that makes it an 8 hour travel time.

Not to mention, you have to be at the airport around 2 hours early because of the TSA. That puts it at 10 hour travel.

Now, are planes always on time? Nope.

Then you have to deplane and get luggage. Hope it is not lost.

Get a rental car.

Get a hotel room.

Another one hour wasted. That is eleven hours wasted to get to the bowl city. All Georgia fans have to do is drive from Savannah Georgia in two hours to get to the game.

Georgia fans just have to drive there and spend time getting gas. No airport hassles.

No I just followed the model that was given in the post. $ hours by flight alot easier than 6 hours in a car by a long shot. And lets face it, if your going to a bowl game, money is most probably not that big of an issue or you wouldnt be making that investment(or atleast shouldnt if it is a big deal).

That was my only point and really just trying to draw comments, thanks for biting:fish2:

Never said they drove themselves and waved at each other. Ever done 6 hours in a car with kids or drunks on the way to a bowl game. Can be fun if you're in your twenties and dont mind maybe not making it due to a big man cop with a chip on his shoulder.

As for how far someone has to travel to get to an airport, thats on them and really stupid if you ask me. Why go to all the trouble to go to the game if its that far to a flight? Just sit at home and get a better view on the TV.

And that part about Georgia fans all coming from Savannah:laugh3: Many live as as far away or farther and fly also to get to the game. I love how the state a team is from is the only spot fans come from to go to the game.

You do realize Auburn pulled in 20 million more in revenue than Nebraska last year right? You also realize you haven't addressed the issue that your fans aren't willing to travel to support your team right now. Your deflections are weak.

Deflections from what? Your thread is a joke. Calling out what many nationally call the most loyal fan base for one year of bad bowl attendance when there is a boatload of reasons that the attendance was low? :L
