Big game here boys. Lets hope we look better. If we win this game it might give us some momentum. We need positives.

I agree that this is a big game and pivotal. As you said, if we win it could be some momentum heading into the OK and ASU games. If our defense can get its shit together then I like our chances. However, if we lose to MSU, I think we may lose the next two also. We need to beat MSU at the line of scrimmage or we're screwed.

GO IRISH!

I think this makes or breaks the season. We lose I see 7-5, we win I see 9-3 at worst 8-4. I really think a win here can get this team to win 9 games and that wouldn't be bad with losing our leaders and our starting QB, TE and RBs.

I think of the slate of next four games, this is definitelly the most win-able of the bunch. That said, this team really doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me. MSU's defense is good enough to give our offense a tough day, especially if we're going to continue to telegraph plays by player and formation match-ups. The question is, is our defense signficantly better than MSU's woeful offense to make up the difference. I don't think MSU has any playmakers on offense, lost their biggest weapon in Bell, but if we continue to play the way we are, they could do enough damage to let their defense control the game.

I am discounting MSU's offensive performance, as they haven't played anyone with a pulse yet. Although you could say the same about their defense, the scouts at least recognize they have legitimate playmakers, even with the talented guys that graduated/moved on last year.

I agree, this win will tell whether we can go far this year, or whether we'll be a middling program this season. We'll need the momentum because OU wants desperately to return the favor in our house, USC is USC, and ASU is NOT the pushover game many took it for at the beginning of the season.
