I want the Lakers to go after Whiteside.....they could get him cheaper than Monroe.

He isn't free until 2016 and isn't Monroe free this summer? Don't think LA can really wait on Whiteside. They need to get better soon. They been bad for 3 years which is a long time for Lakers land. They want to see a winning product soon

How did Brooklyn lose out? LOL.

They got rid of KG (who is done btw) and acquired Thad Young who can still play.

Because once again they failed to get rid of Lopez and Johnson.

They been trying to get rid of Lopez for about 4 years now....somehow he's still a net.

The Thad Young move was nice but they really want to get rid of Lopez

there is a lot of time between now and then- and the cap will undoubtedly go up from the 62 million its at now- but say they find
It will depend on what other teams offer and what Miami can clear in cap space. Dragic will be a UFA and the Heat will have his Bird rights. They can sign Whiteside and then go over the cap to sign re-sign Dragic.

As for Whiteside's value in FA, it'll depend on how he finishes the season.

thats not how it works.

Dragic has a cap hold if you want to keep his bird rights.

what you are talking about - not signing a player with bird rights until you sign other players while you are under the cap- is prevented by cap holds.

I disagree with you about being favored besides Bulls. Don't get me wrong I don't want to play Miami in rd 1 but I still like Wash, Cavs and Bulls ahead of Miami. Atlanta Im not sold. Again i will give Pat credit. Great job and now this team is a true playoff team. They do need Depth. So they would have to sign at least 2 buy out players.

I don't like Washington vs. the Heat for the same reason I don't think the Cavs would be favored by much, if at all, against them. They lack playoff experience. The Heat have a core of players and a coaching staff that has been to 4 straight finals and won back to back championships. I expect that to play a huge role against anyone they play, if they are healthy.

It will be intersting to see how Miami plays with Dragic- a real point guard

the team plays at such a slow pace- and pretty much only in the half court- and pretty much only inside of the three point line-

itll be interesting to see what a point guard that can push the ball and is a decent/solid outside shooter can do there- and what there system will allow him to do.....

it will be a very interesting thing to watch how their offense adjusts.

They have a point guard to push it now- but really dont have the personnel to push it.....

I think we will get a good idea of where Whitesides basketball IQ is at- since he will probably be put into pick and rolls with Dragic a lot-

I think the Heat really could use a spacer who can shoot- I mean, Ray Allen would really be the perfect get for them - all though they definitely need a big on the bench too....

The Heat don't need another big. There is absolutely no need for 2 true bigs in this conference. One is good enough.

The pace will change. Spo has the team playing at a certain pace to play to it strengths. Playing a fast pace with the previous guards made no sense.

Winners- Heat, Thunder, Bucks, KJ McDaniels, Thad Young, Eric Bledsoe

Losers- Kevin Garnett, Danny Granger, Philly

I can't believe Philly is gonna eat 20mil for McGee, cut him..just for another draft pick.

At first glance I thought the Suns got fleeced.

But, they had no choice but to trade Dragic and their roster is much more balanced.

No point in paying Dragic 100mil to finish 9th in the West every year.

Watch Bledsoe spread his wings and fly.

No edit button....

But, they need to re-sign him in the offseason or losing the 2 1st rounders for a rental could hurt.

It's the pencil in the bottom left-hand corner.

They will have another chance next year.

Do you really expect him to opt-out of 18 mil for next year?

That probably scared a few Teams off.

I read a rumor that they were gonna target Blatche.

You don't like that move?

I think we need to face Toronto or Washington to get out of round 1 but that is seem very unlikely now as those teams look like they'll face off in the 4/5 match-up.

Seriously? Lets look at them, shall we?

PG: Miami with Dragic.

SG: Miami with Wade.

SF: Atlanta with Carroll by a nose.

PF: Miami with Bosh.

C: Atlanta with Horford. I love Whiteside (think he's 100% legit and would love if if my Lakers went after him in the summer since he may very well be a lot cheaper than somebody like Monroe), but we don't know how he'll respond when it matters.

3 of the 5 starters favor Miami.

Bench: I'm going with Atlanta's Schroder/Jenkins/Sefolosha/Scott/Antic slightly over Chalmers/Johnson/Ennis/Haslem/Andersen even though neither is great.

Coaching is about even imo.

Wait...the Suns get Miami's 2021 pick?

So, they need to be scouting Dude's that are currently in 8th grade?

Thunder one of the deepest teams in the league now across the board.

Exactly why I said the Suns are losers. Back where they were last year basically with 2 good Pgs and the draft picks they got from Miami aren't anytime soon. If they're goal is to be contenders 5+ years from now I guess they're not losers for now

Yeah, his cap hold is 11 million.

I think they will climb out of 8th before the Season ends.

But, if they don't and they face the Warriors in round 1?

Goodness.

I have to see how they mesh, chemistry wise. But, as of today?

I'm tempted to pick the Thunder.

I can't see them finishing above 8th. They're at 25 losses while the 7th place team after tonight will be at 20 losses. Basically OKC need to go 23-7 the rest of the way to even stand a chance at a 6th or 7th seed IMO. I can't see Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, or the Clippers finishing with more than 30 losses

One other loser...

Brandon Jennings.

Dude was playing good ball before he tore his AcL.

When he returns, will he still have a job?
