I think Colorado gets boat raced today. Colorado’s defense is subpar especially the pass rush.

USC game was just weird. The whole team was just off except Marshawn Lloyd and Brendan Rice. Even Caleb Williams was off.

They committed so damn many penalties; I thought Helton was back.

Gotta hand it to ASU, they emptied the playbook and it darn near worked. USC just had too much of a talent advantage.

Ok, first going to comment before reading others.

*said this even before we scored to win it.....for a neutral CFB fan this was a hell of a game to watch. Obviously the late score made me enjoy it a bit more

*Guessing the OSU fans here were ready to blame Day and/or wanted him gone as he cannot win the big games (did beat ND last year along with other big wins, though). Doesn't mean I didn't question him....

*Doesn't mean I never question him....I was fine going for the 4th and 1 from the 1. I'd have preferred something other than a roll out limiting the field. Didn't even hate the play to Egbuka on 4th and 6 inches, but I preferred a sneak. I get thinking is they'd know but so what? Push him with the RB and if need be if play looks stopped an OL or 2 can go back there and push.

*Getting back to that, I am 100% certain if Traynum is stopped short Day gets roasted for it. Egbuka runs for a 15 yard gain or even scores then that play is a "gutsy call".

*He was a bit unhinged but loved his comments after game and he's right. Pretty much had 1 bad half all season last year but the media and even some fans thought we were overrated, soft, Day needs to go, etc.

*Again, did think he had mistakes. Don't recall exactly when but was a time late I thought he let way too much time off the clock and wasted that TD before the Egbuka run

*Would be a little pissed at Freeman (or whoever called those plays) on the ND final drive if a ND fan.

How do you change a pently from defensive holding to DPI because the catch didn't stand?

That play was a complete disaster. For the reasons you gave plus he clearly had a foot in bounds for a catch. Couldn't believe no one questioned that until much later (and they got it wrong). Thought they changed it to 2 feet in and I missed the rule change.

I did feel bad for the ND fans last night as tough way to drop one. I stayed up for a while as kind of excited but slept well. Have seen my teams drop too many like that and not be able to sleep.

Yep. They got cute. They are built to pound there and at least force the time outs. There isn’t time if they don’t have the run off after intentional grounding.

I'd even say Day did ya a favor saving the TO. worked out obviously, but much easier to find a way to stop clock on O than just let 40 seconds off.

They’re on upset alert next weekend. They have ranked Duke @Duke. I don’t think they can compete with USC. Clemson is a toss up. I think they are 9-3/10-2.

ND is ND. When the going gets tough in these games they pucker.

I hear ya, but also true of both my football teams in close games.....guess something had to give.
