Of course they do! They can hold him hostage next year too. The rules say they can put the cap on him again next year. That’s another 700 touches and another 600 hits on his tires wasted for a go nowhere poorly run franchise.

Every single player in the NFL has reduced leverage. FA is only truly experienced for a small number of players. This is even worse at the RB position right now.

That's why I think the real fix is to drop the tags. Why did the NFLPA agree to those in the first place? A way for your team to hold you hostage in free agency on a one year deal? Compensation is adequate in most cases, but those 1 year deals put all the risk on the player's side.

Because they are the worst run sports union in the world.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills sign Andre Roberts back for return duties. Harty could help on kickoffs too.

RB depth is a little more interesting. Neither of the backups (Harris, Murray) is a receiving threat. Maybe they try McKissic again (backed out of a Bills deal to go to the Commanders a year ago).

Getting close enough to start talking about futures odds. For my money at 25-1 the Chargers were the bet I made. I made a smaller bet on the Ravens at 20-1 just because.

Is that to win the Super Bowl? You wasted money on two QBs who can’t win playoff games projecting them to win at least 3 if not 4 playoff games in a row.

The next big win Herbert earns will be his first. He’s the poster child for how you can get propped up beating the teams you should and then losing to every good team you play.

Ok you didn’t make the bet. Just something fun I do some years. We will see. I personally think that passing game is going to be crazy this season.

To be fair because of the specific nature of the sport it's the hardest to unionize. Players each matter a lot more in basketball for example, which is why the players basically run that league.
