And I have no problem with that. End of the day, when you're in charge, you're held responsible for what happens.

But if they really want to get rid of this stuff, they'll expand the scope of these investigations and punish everyone involved.
True but I doubt they do that to any of the assistant coaches.

Oh, they won't. The HC was fired, so now everyone will move on.

Meanwhile, if an assistant coach who is named interim HC has a chance at improving his stock as an HC candidate even though he knew and said nothing.

Imo, that's why this stuff keeps happening. If assistant coaches and players know that there will be consequences if they get caught up in this kind of thing, they'll be less likely to do it.

Players involved should be kicked out of college and charged.
Sounds like it’s been going on for years. What do you do with this case? A kid was fucked with and sexually assaulted as a Freshmen. But later on in his career when he’s a Junior or Senior he engages in fucking with another kid and crossing that sexual assault line. That’s the thing about a cycle of hazing. The victim eventually becomes the perpetrator.

The interim coach was a new hire this winter. I would think he’s been elevated because he’s had a limited amount of exposure working on Fitzgerald’s staff.

What's the answer then? The program gets the death penalty? Everyone is guilty so nobody is guilty doesn't fix anything.

You fire the adult in charge. You don’t do anything to the players because of the cycle that was allowed to play out.

Saints are in a much better position to deal with a kamara 4 or 6 game suspension this season with the addition of Williams & Miller

I love that on the ESPN fantasy sports app it allows you the option to draft right now. I wish more sites had apps that did that

Yep and probably looking at 6-8 games.

That scumbag D. Watson got 11 games and wasn't charged with anything.

So by the NFL rulz if you're not charged with something it's 11 games.

****Disclaimer for anyone silly/stupid enough to take what I said completely outta context. Some around here love doing that shit. Watson should have been suspended the entire season for his insane sickness. I'm not defending his actions.

So if a player takes a plea deal, basically admitting guilt, it's a lesser suspension?

Gonna be interesting to see what he gets.

So we don't punish the people who actually did the deed, just the guy that let it happen? Don't like it one bit.

Taking a deal isn't necessarily about admitting guilt, it's eliminating the chance for greater punishment. The judicial system is about what you can convince a jury/judge of, not always reality.

I love that in that tweet he both plead guilty AND it still gets the alleged label. At that point it stops being alleged
Has agreed to and has already plead are two different things. Until it's resolved, it's alleged.

And why was he looking at a greater punishment? People that have done nothing wrong don't agree to plea deals.

"not always reality"

This is reality. From 8newsnow.com outta Las Vegas.

article...

Video shows Las Vegas beating involving NFL's Alvin Kamara, 3 others

I think the difference is that we are talking about potential sexual assault vs. what is essentially a fight.

Also, fair or not, right or wrong, the optics of what Watson did is far worse as that was multiple women over a long period of time compared to a fight that happened 1 time.
