That kid's speed, combined with the throw-over limitations is going to really pump up his steal numbers.

Picks for the home run derby? I’ll take Pete Alonso again.

Northwestern fired Fitzgerald.
He dug his grave. You can’t have that stuff and how did you not know when that picture surfaced of the stuff on the white board.

Used to like the derby more when it was outs based instead of time

Watched the entire derby. Crazy how you are more into things when you make bets on it
Didn’t think it was right that Vlad had to go first in finals but he still won

Northwestern fired Fitzgerald.

Dan Patrick made some pretty good points about this.

He said that it may be true that Pat Fitzgerald didn't know about this but he would/could have found out if he was keeping up with what was going on with the team.

He also said that this doesn't go far enough in that, they fired the HC...but what about the assistant coaches? What did they know? What about the players who participated in the hazing? What did the AD and school President know and when did they know?

Agree with him, especially on the assistant coaches. I'd go as far as to say that the assistant coaches were more likely to know about this before the HC.

The head coach is always the fall guy though....just like in the NBA when a team underperforms....even if it isn't the HC's fault....

And I have no problem with that. End of the day, when you're in charge, you're held responsible for what happens.

But if they really want to get rid of this stuff, they'll expand the scope of these investigations and punish everyone involved.

Players involved should be kicked out of college and charged.

It's a bit different in college though. The HC is responsible for the culture of the entire football program. The HC needs to rely on their assistant coaches to keep a tight ship. Fitzgerald failed in this regard, and as a result, he's gone. Having said that, and trojan mentioned it, I'd be curious to know if the administration of the university knew of this prior to. If so, and if they're only doing a reactive firing, they should be out as well.
