I have the complete opposite stance, I think Jimbo was 100% in the right. Cheating is wide spread through CFB. There's an unspoken rule about being public with it - Saban f'd up there (we agree on that).

Jimbo always can say he played within the rules of the game while under Saban.

Primetime is good, no one with one functioning brain cell can go after him.

But Jimbo was right, Saban knows that there's assistants of his across the country that knows what he's up to. Saban comes off as a petulant spoiled child and hypocrite because things aren't going his way with the way NIL is trending.

How dare you besmirch the name of Nick Saban? Wait a minute I know the answer. Because you're right.

And Primetime. You think he ever becomes the Noles HC?

Also how you like the Cristobal hire? Might have asked you before but don't remember.

I sort of disagree. Can't really reign in NIL when it's really handled at the state level. Also, the SEC schools, especially Bama have been paying kids for years, long before NIL. Notice that the two most outspoken coaches against NIL are Dabo and Saban? Reason being, the playing field is getting leveled and bag men are more out in the open now.

I heard a theory on reigning in NIL that I agree with. It was that it will be the corporations/boosters who will pump the brakes when they have had some kids who got big NIL deals, spend a season or 2 sitting on the bench, then transfer. It will eventually be like pro sports where there is some big money going to the stars and then filling in around them.

I think that even with it at the state level, something will be done to try to reign it in a little as well. For example, I think they will outlaw collectives and would be willing to bet that is why USC doesn't have one yet.

I agree about Dabo and Saban and would take it a step further and say that, at least in part, the reason they're against is that they could compete financially when stuff had to be hidden because the amounts of money had to be small enough to be explainable.

Now, the only real rule seems to be that the schools cant be directly involved. That allows programs like Texas A&M, Texas, USC, the Domers and really any schools that have virtually unlimited resources...to tap into those resources. Great as their programs are, Dabo and Saban know they aren't winning many bidding wars against those programs.

Heck, it was getting outrecruited/outspent by A&M that got this started. lol

They recruited a dude right off of Pitt’s roster. If that’s “legal” then that’s pretty fucked up.
From what I understand is they are getting players through the draft portal and if so.....then your issue is with the draft portal.....

Not what I heard on Addison. I heard people were reaching out and that’s why he went into the portal.

You’ll have to ask Pat Narduzzi. That’s the claim he’s made.

And have you noticed how quiet he's been since he popped off?

Here is what has been learned since he made his accusations:

Caleb Williams and Addison are from the same area and are friends. It was Caleb Williams who contacted him. Players talking to players is not illegal.

Addison would be heading to a program with arguably the best offensive coach in college football and a Heisman candidate that he is friends with throwing him the ball.

That program has a history of putting wide receivers in the NFL and the receiver who was the odds on favorite forthe Biletnikoff award until he was injured and out for the season in game 8...just left for the NFL. So, he comes in as WR1 which could mean another Biletnikoff award for him.

The NIL deal he got at USC was not the biggest he was offered and for awhile, Texas was considered the favorite after his visit there.

Like Saban, Narduzzi got emotional, popped off when he shouldn't have and comes off as a whiner.

Looks like a loop hole needs to be cleared up. That’s shady as fuck

A player talking to a player is shady?
Yep. What’s to keep coaches from going through their roster and finding that so and so went to high school with so and so or played in the same league with so and so. It’s the Wild West right now. People have no idea where the boundary is.

I'm sure that has happened all over the place. I have no doubt that Riley, at the least, knew that Williams was going to contact Addison.

Good luck preventing players from talking to each other.

Unless we are going to start bugging their phones, dorms, family members phones, etc. It's likely to work about as well as trying to stop NBA players, etc. contacting each other.

I'd also add that it's more a transfer portal issue than an NIL issue.

Do some research on how most coaches handle players from schools they were at

Love the Cristobal hire. He needs to grow a bit as a game day coach, but he’s growing. We will see what happens.

I don’t think fsu could even afford Prime. But i think their lack of NIL resources would keep him from going there
