This is setting up for a Coach K passes the torch to Jay storyline. I hate Villanova but have a ton of respect for what they’ve built. They’re a machine. 1-5 they guard. They hit foul shots better than any team like ever. Wright is now 20-3 in the NCAA tournament since 2016.

Hope Justin Moore is ok. This group doesn’t have depth to survive that.

Villanova is like a cheat code for NCAA tournament success
- Wright doesn’t do one and dones and experience wins in the tournament
- they prioritize guards and guards win in the tournament
- they switch everything with personnel that’s pretty much the same longish 6-3 to 6-8 guy
- they play system fundamental basketball at both ends
- they’re analytics driven in the way they hoist threes and shoot fouls
