obviously the US is not going to put troops in Ukraine....

but after reading practically every Tom Clancy book (the ones that he wrote- not the later ones that are other writers), he goes into excruciatingly researched detail on the prowess of the military against a near peer opponent in actual warfare conditions (not insurgency etc.).

one of my favorite books is Executive Orders where the US has a relatively small force in Saudi Arabia when Iran, having already taken over Iraq, attacks, after an Ebola attack against that US that prevents other US troops and military assets from moving---- and the US force absolutely slaughters forces 10 times their size due to their technology and training.

In the Bear and the Dragon- much the same thing against the Chinese- another great book. In the B&tD he really goes into how attack helicopters are used and its pretty brutal, in addition to scouting. Debt of Honor- he writes about the VAST superiority of US submarines.

Yep it's only the fault of those three Bama back-ups, not the starters, for the Tide losing the title game.

He pulled this same stupid shit a few years ago after Ohio State beat Bama in the playoff. Saying his team lost because some of his players didn't go all-out because they didn't want to get injured before the draft.

Saban's coaching record is 274-67-1. But those 67 losses aren't his fault. His bowl record is 18-11. And those 11 bowl losses aren't his fault either.

He wants all the credit for his wins. But of course the losses are always on someone else.
