Haslam was pitting employees against each other. What kinda rational thinking owner does something like that? And his Flying J truck company was fined something like 92m for screwing customers over.

I can see him doing something like telling his coach to lose games because of other oddball things he's done in the past.
do you want the truth of what really happened?

He was told by Dipo of their plan and, yes, they did tell him the plan would likely involve a lot of losing early. In fact, they told him he might not want to attend games early as things will get worse before they got better (and that was after coming off 3-13). Lucky for us, Haslam accepted their plan and let them run with it. I wonder what would have happened if they had let them make all the decisions (like hire McDermott over Hue and then not interrupt the process with Dorsey).

The football team name grew ok me. Wish they kept it
I suspect they'll get pushback like we got here going from Indians to Guardians as the fans likely do not like Snyder (and most Tribe fans are not fans of Dolan).

However, I'd rather we keep Guardians and find an owner with a will to win than keep Dolan and the Indians name. I'm guessing WFT fans feel the same about Snyder....well, he has a will to win but maybe an owner who didn't get in his own way.

You hear about this yet?

Hue Jackson suggests he was paid extra for losses as Browns head coach (from PFT)

Hue sayz Haslam "was happy while we kept losing"

He sayz he "can back up every word I'm saying"

And he mentioned Sashi Brown, Paul DePodesta & Andrew Berry were in on it.
I doubt he was paid extra for it but as mentioned in my previous post I'm sure they knew their plan would result in a lot of losing. Not sure they expected 1-31 though.

Finally did what so-called football guys in the past did not have the stomach to do.....dump aging, regressing vets to clear cap space and not care about a couple extra meaningless wins they could have had.

That might be true, but I doubt he used OSU knowing he'd leave after a season. If he was good enough to unseat Stroud he'd have stayed IMO.
Reminds me of Tate Martell, turned out he just wasn't good enough. Hope better for this kid.

One other thing I'll mention......doesn't this fly in the face of previous Hue claims when he said he never knew of their plan (to tank) when he took the job?

While I do think he's a far better prospect than Martell that's a good analogy.

I also hope he succeeds and am glad CFB players have the freedom to move like this now.

For anyone interested today was signing day in college football. I personally like the 247 composite rankings. They take the top services ranking for prospects and average them together to assign the player’s “score” so to speak. My Irish finished with the number 7 class. Not bad for losing the head coach late. Hope Freeman can get them into the top 3-5 for 2023.

That explains why Hue Jackson lost so many games! I get it now!

Called a #1 QB teams tanked for can't miss? Did many disagree or can we all take the lap with you?

To be clear....there is no actual running in these laps, right?

Yes. Many people disagreed with me.

He was controversial because he only had 1 year playing as a high level starter.

I caught flak for that also.

Hue Jackson would’ve been able to buy the league if that was the case.

Flores filed a class action, every black coach that never got a head coaching job is going to join it. It will be huge.
I don’t see much happening. Giants weren’t really in the wrong. On the dolphins you maybe have tampering and purposely tanking. The Broncos may be the worst of the group. But the legal language is very loose and nothing really concrete in terms of racism.

I really don’t see Brian Kelly working out at LSU. Miami beat them out for a stud RB in their own backyard. Which I never thought I’d see the day.
You may be right but this isn’t the year in which you can really judge that. He got started really late. BK is more of an acquired taste.
