Thats why he made it a class action and added in the NFL. This has the potential to get huge, all because the NFL put in a rule that they really didn’t have to do.

Even as a class action suit, they still have to be able to prove that the reason they weren't hired was because of their race. That's the part that will be difficult, imo. It's one thing to say "I didn't get hired because of my race", it's a whole other thing to prove it. There would likely have to be e-mail and/or video or audio taped evidence of someone actually saying it.

Remember Donald Sterling? Apparently, everyone knew the guy was a racist, but they couldn't get rid of him until there was actual audio of it.

Yes. Many people disagreed with me.

He was controversial because he only had 1 year playing as a high level starter.

I caught flak for that also.
I mean, I liked him a lot (though also was willing to admit as a fan we cannot know) and guessing others did, too. I decided I'm not running a lap, though.

Can you post something to back up what you've claimed? Like I told shane the only reason I can kinda believe Hues is Haslam's a moron who's done questionable stuff in the past. I only ask this because I'm not sure if what you said is really legit or just your opinion. And not looking to start anything. But you also said K. Hunt didn't nothing wrong in that Cleveland hotel. When talking about the Browns at times you've gone the homer route.
I'm gonna look for the actual quote (get worse before better) but the reason not to believe Hue is Hue, himself, lied.

He first says he didn't know of the plan and if he did he wouldn't take the job.....now he says he was paid to lose? Clearly, one is a lie (likely both)

I can see why you'd choose to side with the liar, I guess, since I never said Hunt did nothing wrong.

Hopefully his allegations are total bullshit. But if what he's saying in true this could force Haslam to sell the team. Which would be a great thing.
Unless you don't like the FO why would you want him to sell? Now that he has a FO he trusts, he stays out of the way, lets the FO do their jobs and spends whatever he's asked......what more would you want from ownership?

Think you and I are in the same boat as I'd like to see Ross forced to sell the Phins.

My problem with all of this is why are you speaking up now? Why not back then? For Hue Jackson, you should've known that posting a 3-36 record while with Cleveland was going to be the end any chance of you being a HC in the NFL again, despite how disfunctional the Browns were back then. And if Hue Jackson didn't think that would be an issue, then he's an idiot.
Hue Jackson was a major reason for the dysfunction.

The way I see it if the Dolphins don't win at least 10 games next season it was a mistake to fire Flores. I think this firing is a real head scratcher.
On that I agree....but not the first time a coach and GM had a difference of opinion on how to run the team and the GM "won". Might regret firing him as seems like a solid coach, but don't think it was because of race.

This kind of alludes to Haslam buying in - finally - to a complete rebuild

Yeah sure you never tried to defend Hunt. What an outright lie. Just like you didn't try to stick up for T. Thompson a couple of seasons ago by incorrectly saying he outplayed both Jokic & Embiid in head to head match up's.

Even after I posted the the numbers that clearly showed he didn't outplay either you doubled down on your homerism by insisting he outplayed both.

You claimed I said "Hunt did nothing wrong"

Defending him does not mean I claimed he did nothing wrong. You lied - again - got caught - again- and will not man up and own it - again.

You can get the last word and see if someone actually can argue with himself if you want on this matter.

I'll just never be a fan of Haslam's.
I can understand that for the allegations of his truck company....or even his past screw ups.

But I'm not willing to risk him selling to someone like, say, the Dolans with no will to win if I had a choice.

Hadn't heard anything about the Broncos situation. It just seems like there are 2 different lawsuits here. 1 for, if his allegations are true, being fired for winning when he was told to lose and 1 for discrimination even though there were more jobs available that he was reportedly a candidate for.

I'm no lawyer and from what has been reported, the law firm he hired is very well respected, so I'm sure they know what they are doing. Just seems like odd timing for the discrimination part, especially since that is unlikely to make it to trial. The NFL will write him a big check and he'll go coach a college team somewhere on that one.

It seems like if he just stuck with suing the Dolphins, he'd still be hirable in the NFL and would still get a big check.

He wasn't fired for winning. The alleged bribes to lose were from 2019; he would've been canned years ago if that was the case. He was fired because he wasn't on the same page as the FO on Tua vs Watson and they wanted to move on (or at least, that's what's public).

A guy suing for discrimination when he was hired from being a linebackers coach, skipping multiple steps in the ladder to become a head coach seems disingenuous. Teams are just like any company; they can terminate employees without providing just cause. He was still under consideration for the Saints and Texans jobs.

And that’s what the suit will eventually look like when they’re done. They’re going to stack the personal stories of numerous coaches to paint a broad picture of reduced access.

There definitely needs to be change, I just don't know that Flores is a good example to put out in front of this lawsuit. He's an example of a youngish LB coach who got a head coaching job before the Patriots even wanted to promote him to DC; he wasn't held back from that first job by his race, wasn't fired for his race, etc. Jim Caldwell says hold my beer, lol.

A sad day in music history.

On this day in '59 Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & the Big Bopper died in a plane crash.
...and lead to Don McLean becoming a thing. Sad indeed..... :heh:

I won't own it? Calling 100% bullshit on that. I'm not you. Okay so I misspoke. And when I do I always admit it. You on the other hand, well that's another story. What I should have said was you thought what he did wasn't that bad.

This isn't about getting the last word in. But when you incorrectly accuse me of something you actually do, like defending T. Thompson a couple of seasons ago, I'm gonna set things straight.

Can't disagree with that. In a perfect world Haslam would be forced to sell and the group Peyton Manning's a part of buys the Browns. There's already talk that his group is interested in the Broncos.

No thanks. I'm fine with Haslam. No lock Manning would be any good as an owner (different sport, but MJ nothing special). Now if it turns out he needs to ever get rid of the FO/coach and hire another on his own? That's a concern.

That's why I don't get the discrimination aspect. So the Giants decided on who they wanted before they finished all of their interviews. Welcome to job searches. I doubt there's a person who has had more than 1 job that hasn't been through a "faux interview" at some point...and anyone who has ever had to hire people has likely done a faux interview at least once. It happens.
