Never in a million years.

I was very high on Daniels. I thought the playoffs were a possibility, but that was a lot because the schedule was pretty manageable.

Winning 1 playoff game let alone 2 is wild.

I would have been happy with 8-9 as long as Daniels showed promise.

He's gonna be fun to watch for a long time. And for obvious reasons I'm a big T. McLaurin. You gotta helluva QB/WR combo.

I don't really disagree....plus with all their assets.

as to your last comment? I'll guess Atlanta (team that won 60+ with 4 all stars back when Lebron was here)?

Yeah. You got it

04 Pistons come to mind also.

I’m sure you would be happy with an outcome like that.

Would like to see them get him another really good pass game option to compliment McLauren.

But yeah, I am pretty happy right now. Seems like this team has a chance to be a threat for the next few years.

And I fully expect the fairy tell to end next week.

Yeah think I'll take 04 Pistons.

don't really see the Atlanta comparison. Horford was worthy as all star. Milsap? Maybe. Teague and Korver? Meh.

I'd say Mitchell, Mobley and Garland are better than all of them. Allen a worthy all star and if centers had their own category he makes it. But if someone said no to him not a crazy opinion.

We also don't have to face a Lebron which helps.

Next week will be a tough one no doubt.

I'm now convinced D. Snyder was a jinx for your team. Glad he's outta the league.

4 very good players, 0 superstars.

Experienced opponent who most expect to come out of the East in the playoffs despite being significantly behind in terms of current record.

That is the comp. Not as much about which team is better.

That Atlanta team had no one close to Mitchell caliber of a player.

They didn’t have Mobley type of player.

That team had some clear weaknesses but ultimately Lebron was the king for a reason.

I actually see more comparisons with Cleveland’s style of play than OKC’s style of play to GS. OKC does have an elite defense but CLE moves the ball and is an elite shooting team like GS. Still a top defense as well. I would say OKC does have the team effort aspect but they rely more on one player unlike Cleveland. I think even though Curry was so great they were still a team driven team. Curry was obviously a superstar. Mitchell is not that level but he can sporadically play like it. OKC has that aspect.

The ball movement and ability to shoot the 3 ball at an elite level are clear resemblances of the GS team…doesn’t mean they will win it or be a dynasty. Same applies to OKC.

The only teams that I think have at least a small chance to be a dynasty and/or win a title or two right now is….boston, cleveland or OKC. I think a couple other franchises could fall into that category in the next couple years.

The reason I was kinda disappointed to see Snyder outta the league is now our owner has the title of biggest jackass.

Jerry jones is right there.

They have lot of regular season success, but Jones’s culture in Dallas also seems pretty bad.

Not Snyder level toxic, but hard to win none the less

1 trend I have noticed with officials this year.

People were calling out a bad spot in the Chiefs game where the Texan runner was spotted like a full yard short of where he had been tackled. Should have been right near the chains and they marked him 1 yard short.

What I have noticed…

On first or second down plays, if the runner is close to the sticks they seem to get favorable spots more often than not. Like Gainwell just a couple plays ago.

But on 3rd down I have noticed officials very consistently spotting the ball short of where the runner’s actual progress was bringing up 4th and short.

Seen it in so many games with so many teams.

Yeah there was discussions about this in the Chiefs game thread, I don’t know if this necessarily pertains to what you’re saying but I think something that is overlooked generally speaking is officiating crews on any given day can sometimes just be shit and since they’re on rotation if affects all teams.

As tired as we may all get of the refs discussions, there are just some crappy officials period. Such is life.

With the consistency of how much I have seen this happen?

Both with benefit to runner on early downs and the opposite on later downs?

I feel it has got to be a league directive. Maybe they want more 4th down plays?

It’s possible, this just seems like a parallel to bks going with what he sees on the field.

“You got data to back this up?” :heh:

I agree though, it seems another general consensus complaint in all games is ball spot.

In every game thread I follow there’s always an abundance of “terrible spot” posts throughout.

Oh no. I don’t have data.

LOL

But…

I do think a 4th and short mandate is like 80 million times more likely than a “cheat for a specific team” mandate.

No argument there, I think most NFL fans would agree with your assessment of poor ball spots
