Wouldn’t rule out the possibility.

Especially if they draft a rookie and/or bring in someone like Cousins.

I heard someone say they wanted the Browns the bring in Rodgers next year and keep Jameis and Watson.

That QB room would be so much fun!
Hard Knocks anyone?

Owe him a lot more than Denver owed Wilson so don't see us paying that much (or that much against cap) for him to play elsewhere. But if they can figure something out have at it.

If they think having Watson around would hinder the development of a rookie?

I could see them cutting him anyway.

Especially if they know they are moving on. But you are probably right if they bring in a vet to compete for the job.

what do you mean by "it"? I doubt we just release him until not a cap killer. do you mean it as in never takes the field again?

Have not heard anything here about it yet.
I think the conventional wisdom was he would play no more than one more year of his remaining 2 then be released. If he’s not going to be healthy that may change things, for the better of the team.

Wont be surprised if they bring in a vet AND draft a guy at 2. Guessing would be a vet owed money by old team we could sign for cheap if such a player.

Maybe a Browns fan can get Doc Brown's Delorean and go back and stop the deal (and the one moving Baker)?

Like Cousins could be your guy

Give your rookie some time to sit like Penix did.

I really like Cousins. One of my favorite people in the league. Just a really great person.

Will root for him wherever he goes.
He's obviously not a longterm solution but I could see Stefanski getting more out of him than he offered in Atlanta. Be a good guy to have around a rookie, too, if they go that route.

Your team finally found a QB so have to at least think it's possible here? And this time if we do, maybe keep him?

If he's having complications with his Achilles recovery as reported, will he even be around to start the season?

It is possible. Love Daniels. Everything about him. The way he plays, the positive energy he brings.

Just amazing.

I have a couple Commanders hoodies in my winter clothes rotation. Multiple times I have been stopped in the grocery store by a random person that just had to tell me how much they liked Jayden Daniels.

Such a foreign feeling in Commander land to have a QB everyone feels good about.

I know you can sympathize with that.

Cannot say I've heard anything here about complications yet but thought was iffy at best to be around to start the season even if all went well with the surgery.

I can...but we have had such a guy and not even that long ago. I'm not rooting against the guy by any means and seems to be the real deal...but thinking anyone in your area wants to see it one more time before complete buy in.

For sure.

RG3 felt the same way. And then he got broken.

Bears have asked for permission to interview Mike McCarthy. You don’t see that everyday.

Why would they want to do that?

McCarthy is proven to be mediocre.

Best way I know to ensure Caleb Williams doesn’t develop

Perhaps they are concerned the Cowboys might get rid of him and maybe this stimulates Jerry Jones ego. Adam Shekter reported it so I’m assuming it’s true.

perhaps Jones worst trait as an owner is sticking with mediocre yes men coaches for far too long.

I would guess McCarthy is there for at least a couple more years.
