Why doesn’t it make sense? You are asking for your team to go 1-2 on 2 pt conversions and if they happened to hit the first one then you are in position for a 1 point win and avoiding ot

I am all for going more often on 4th down.

I just don’t like this play in this situation specifically.


Since 2 pointers are more valuable analytically, then teams should just go for 2 as their base decision and take the 1 situationally when time and score call for it.

Doesn’t make sense to me to make the analytically play at the end of the game when everything hangs in the balance if you not going to do it early.

Well they say what people forget is the odds of making both extra points is only 95 percent. Then on top of that the odds of getting the 2 Pointer is over 50 percent so even if you don’t make it you get another shot. Analytics taking over.

It's even worse, since they moved the try back making XPs is only like 94% each. So only 88% chance to make both

Maybe going for 2 should be the default all game

When Lurie has had adversity with team results he has often gone back to Andy Reid. Reid’s DCs have been pressure oriented and aggressive with both the Eagles and the Chiefs. I’d like to see them get back to that style over the bend but don’t break stuff.
