Absolutely, extremely charismatic with excellent leadership skills; someone a bunch of young kids can get behind. Then off to the pros where you can boost morale to an extent but then you have veterans and coaches eye-rolling the decision making and “wtf” throwing motion.

Never stood a chance.

His throwing motion is one of the oddest I've seen. And he's not much better throwing a baseball.

Yeah, his high school and college coaches did him a huge disservice by not fixing that throwing motion. He would have been fine back when the emphasis was more on the run game and a QB might only be passing 15-20 times a game.

Yes, the throwing motion was an issue.

But I am not sure how much difference it would have made.

His issues were more significant that a few mechanical adjustments.

He's been alright. With the time he missed and the minutes restriction he's been on, it's taking a minute for him to get up to speed.

He's not an NBA quality player right now, but he's had some moments where you can see there's enough there that he can become an NBA quality player if he has anything close to his Dad's work ethic.

I hope he and Lebron are smart and he doesn't declare for the draft. He needs at least 1 and maybe 2 more years to develop. Even if the heart issue didn't happen, I'd have been very surprised if he could become a 1 and done level player. Since it did happen, it's put him too far behind.

A lot of mocks have him going later in the 1st round.....primarily because of his defense.

That would have to be because they think a team will take him to get Lebron. I hope he makes it to the NBA, but based on what I've seen, he's not going to be ready by the end of this season.

He is no great QB but he is solid and top 10 signal caller. The Falcons would be a lot better with him than Ridder for sure.
