It’s just huge for the program. Not the fact that they beat Texas, they do that a lot. But with all the talent they had lost it is big to be able to bring an OU guy in and start turning things back the way they need to be. Recruiting has turned since Venables came and this will only help. Defense isn’t up to his standard yet, but they made some big plays today. Also, Dillon Gabriel is a damn good college qb.

Dude you are clueless on this. Riley is an offensive guy, Venables is the proven best defensive guy in the country. They couldnt be more different. This game was 34-30, not 52-49. Ou was averaging giving up less than 10 pts a game. Trust me Venables is the last person we need to worry about knowing the defense has to be better. It is getting there. Jeez.

OU forced 3 turnovers and had 5 sacks against a team that beat Bama on their home field and they are being compared to Lincoln Riley defenses. Can’t make this shit up.
