Don't recall ever seeing a QB get called for facemasking twice in a career...let alone a game.

I guess calls were legit but you see stiff arm facemasks go uncalled so often...also let one go on a play Watson's mask was grabbed.

Watson was a disaster though.

I'm losing any belief in Watson. He has yet to look consistently good IMO, and made some terrible plays last night. Stupid facemask penalties on top of it all.

He might not have the makeup to be the villain....better figure that out quickly.

He played 6 games last season if I remember right and just 2 this season so far. I was thinking the same but he probably needs a full season before we RIP his career.

That's fair but so far he sure doesn't look good.

Some think they will give him to the bye week and if nothing improves they will fire Stefanski (depending on record) and start DTR.

Kinda doubting that bc their bye is week 5 but but if Watson looks like shit with no improvement week to week 8-9 games in then there will be some serious discussions.

I mean, since he had Baker and Brissett both playing pretty well possible they'd conclude it's Watson and not necessarily the coach. I think he'd at least the year. Hell, win and look good next week this could all be forgotten.

I'd say way to early to think moving on. Watson will get a full season and if need be another coach before we'd move on IMO (can't fire him).

It's definitely a step in the right direction. Imo, no way either survives trying to compete with each other and the NFL.

Imo, their next move should be to partner with the NFL to be sort of a minor/developmental league for the NFL.

They kind of are already. The NFL picks over whomever emerges as useful.

i saw both and they were legit facemasks. An open hand hitting the facemask is okay. On both, he grabbed and pulled. It was like he was trying to tackle the defender. lol

Depends if they want just "another guy" or a true #1. Akers is not that. I don't trust the Browns much but I do with RB's. We will see. Ford won't be the #1 for long, at least full workload #1
