It is a cheat code
Meh, it's legal til it ain't. At least that's my take on it. If it's within the rules what coach wouldn't take advantage of a strength? Otoh, I get what you're saying. If it's something that's " out of control" then yes, a rule change should definitely be looked into...

Well, if nothing else he didn't run and hide like @RememberTheKoy did after talking all that insane shit. That was straight up cowardly, and as my sig line implies I have ZERO respect for a coward. His punk ass STILL ain't been back long enough to take his lumps...
He did? LOL.

Pushing a player was illegal until 2005, I expect it will be again
Ok. And that will come because essentially one team has made this super successful. It’s not the first time that a rule will be changed because one team was out ahead of the rest as innovators. Can’t stop it? Just lobby to legislate it away.

Yup every now and then things get stupid enough that changes have to be made, but you don’t blame anyone, just part of it.

Speaking of that fella did see one comment of his where he said he hates that MFer Mahomes.

Can't wait until he returns so I can make fun of him again.

Disagree. I actually like it. Either way, it should be down the list of things they need to look at changing.

It had been illegal for as long as I knew up until 2005, I hate it vehemently as a result. It's not football, it's rugby. Does every rule change have to benefit the offense? This one is ridiculous.

If it was all about the center and the QB, you wouldn't need players behind the QB pushing him forward.
Why wouldn’t you? What other purpose would they serve on QB sneak? It’s always advantageous to be able to put more blockers at the point of attack. If the entire league tried to utilize it they wouldn’t approach the 90+% success rate the Eagles had. The push helps but I’ve seen all of them and in most cases Hurts has the first down or the TD before the pushing ever comes into play.

Yes in fact it is. They’re the team that employs it most and utilizes that play on 3rd and 4th and short. You can likely find examples of teams using it. You won’t find that team employing it some 40-45 times in the season or teams that actually have run wrinkles off of the formation.

I'd rather see them get a definition of what a catch is than worry about this.

Much of football is based out of rugby.
