Carlos Correa had an issue in his physical with the Giants. So the Giants backed out and Mets swooped in and got Correa to play 3B.

Sounds like a desperate move imo. Not saying he can’t play 3B, Machado made the move but their payroll is now crazy. It’s championship or bust again. Correa is a good player but he isn’t worth that money imo

It’s a contract that will be good now but an albatross later…or maybe not. The Mets luxury tax bill of 111 million will be more than the 2022 payroll of 8 ball clubs! That’s crazy. Teams like the Mets, with a willing owner, can buy their way out of mistakes.

The Braves had 3 HOFers in their starting rotation for a decade and won 1 championship. I saw my Phil’s put together a run between 07-11. The two best rosters in 2010 and 2011 didn’t even make the WS. The 2008 Phil’s that won the WS had a rotation of Cole Hamels, Brett Myers, Jamie Moyer, and Joe Blanton. Baseball is a crazy game and anything can happen in a 3, 5 or 7 game series.

@bksballer89 not feeling great about this one. This kid is a difference maker in the secondary and could start right away.

People blame Carr, like they don't see this year's common trend. We get a lead, McDaniels takes his foot off the gas and tries to run the clock out. Which is fine if you have a good defense and it's not the 3rd quarter. He just did the same thing in this last game. And his play calling doesn't change when our bad o-line gets a penalty that sets us back. He still calls predictable short routes that forces check downs, and puts us at 3rd and long. The one deep route on every pass play is a go ball. That is midget league football.

Oh man, Franco Harris died. His jersey is getting retired this weekend in Pittsburgh. So sad. Why did the Steelers wait so long to retire his jersey? It’s a crime that he won’t be able to witness that before he died. R.I.P. 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception this year.

The same reason that I hate when it takes people too long to get honored with HOF inductions. Life is short, sometimes unexpectedly.
