Miami is the oldest team in the league.
I don't think they have a single player under the age of 28 who does anything.
Miami is 100% a VETERAN driven team.

SA actually has a bit more youth that play critical roles.
They are more of a balanced team of YOUTH and VETERANS.

Regardless, this series is not a YOUNG vs OLD series.
This is a series of two evenly matched teams that is likely to go 7 games.

Both teams could easily be 2-0 or 0-2. So, 1-1 seems about fair.

Cole is under 28 and he's productive off the bench

Age isn't much of a factor when minutes are limited. This is what Miami fans would try to point out to Celtics fans a few years back as their core of Allen, Pierce, and KG were all well into their 30's respectively. Miami is the older team, but that's because the age is on the bench. Miami's core of Wade, Lebron, and Bosh are 32, 29, and 30 respectively - hardly old, although Wade would be described as an old 32 and probably has about 3 good years left in him.

Parker was injured by a dirty intentional play.
It is sort of classless for Miami to question his toughness after a dirty play.

I suspect that is a small minority of HEAT fans. I hope at least.
I expect 99.99% of HEAT fans are embarrassed by any attempt at "Parkering."

They are probably just as angry at Mario Chalmers as anyone.

I think people are overreacting to that elbow, it was a basketball move and he didn't swing his elbow. It's weird I don't think it was intentional but I still think it was a flagrant.

Also, I don't like how Parker was making excuses. Yah yiu got hit in the stomach and was winded. But he said yah it definitely affected me. Well if it hurt that much go to the bench or man up and hit two FT's.

Lebroning is just as embarrassing, so it goes both ways.

Yep. Making fun of injury is stupid, especially when it comes on a flagrant foul.

I think I like the idea of in-game technical fouls for a flop (determined by review).

One caution I have is that I think sometimes when we look at slow-motion plays we can see a flop where there really isn't one. Looking at Wade's flop, I definitely see that as a flop and would have no problem with him getting a tech for that.

Sometimes though, when a player jerks his head back without contact, it is a natural reflex. If you see something coming at your eyes, you may try to quickly move your face out of the way. Sometimes that reflex is delayed and looks bad, especially in replay, but is really just a natural reaction.

Again, I'm not talking about Wade's flop. That was a flop. But similar plays that get labeled flops I sometimes have a problem with.

I've been wanting to strangle Chalmers through the Pacers series. The flagrant just escalated my feelings.

I get the feeling that the level of activity on this thread is going to be inversely proportional to the success of the Heat in the most recent game.

Norris Cole. But outside him... you are right.

I think people in general who take the opportunity to poke fun at Lebron for cramping, or Parker for getting elbowed in the sternum and falling to the ground are ignorant and pathetic.

I don't mind it. I actually think both are funny. Neither injury was serious, so it doesn't bother me. Cramps hurt.. but not a serious injury. Parker falling down in a head like he was about to die because of an elbow was a bit much. Nothing serious.. Parker is okay. So making fun of it is okay... to me.

That play is just where I want some consistency. I do think they are getting better about calling the game more even this year.

That exact play depends on the definition of the rule, if intent matters it is hard to prove as a flagrant. If intent does not matter then it is clearly a flagrant.

I understand on some plays intent should matter over results, such as a swing missing.

If there was any grey area Rio has lost the benefit of the doubt.

As for Parkering or Lebroning bitches be bitches, deserve stitches but have twitter.

Series Price reopens:

SA +127
MIA -143

I expect MIA to win game 3 and SA to move to +250ish for the series price. I might arb and ensure a 1 unit win.

MIA for game 3 opens at -4. It is very early but it looks like most of the bets are coming in on MIA but no real money yet.

I am probably taking MIA for game 3.

I think it will continue to go back and forth. Spurs let one slip by meaning LBJ was the only hitting and spurs needed that win last night. It was a great game but u need to beat Miami when they don't have anyone playing well except 1 player(LBJ).

I see this going 7 games.
