Heck, I don't know many Lakers fans who actually liked Kobe. There's a difference between liking a player and being glad he's on your team because of the winning that comes with it.

I know your feelings about Lebron. But, for me, if he chose to sign with the Lakers this off-season, I'd be glad he was on the team because of the likelihood of a playoff run. But I still wouldn't like him.

oh i'd hate the day that fool EVER signed a contract here in La-La land if it ever DID go down, but I DO understand where you're coming from...

Kobe was accused and the charges were ultimately dropped. Doesn't mean he didn't r*pe her, it means there wasn't enough evidence to support it.

Just throwing it out there, that there's potentially a third possibility here: that there was enough evidence to support it, but somehow, it didn't see the light of day.

Just a thought.

Ever since his early days in Cleveland, Lebron has been a player/coach. He never had a great or even good coach that put him in his place until Miami and it wasn't the coach, it was Riley. But just because he "allegedly" never met the coach, he indirectly was responsible with his firing? Maybe, he was responsible for all the coaching firings in his career or maybe he wasn't responsible for any of them. Well you see where I am going and honestly who cares if you don't really know. Until Lue, Lebron hasn't respected a coach since high school, yes included Spo. I think that was the closest to respecting a coach but you could tell at times he wasn't a true coach to Lebron. Lue might not be a great coach, maybe not a championship winning coach--only time will tell but we do know Lebron respects him.

I agree here big time. I could tell for the most part that during Blatt's entire career with the Cavs, he and Lebron were never on the same page. Lebron wanted Lue, and while you can't "prove" it, we all know who runs the show in Cleveland; he doesn't wear a suit, he wears #23.

Yeah, the thing is, Lebron was obviously right in wanting Lue over Blatt. The change in chemistry is obvious. But there is a right way and wrong way to go about it. Undermining the coach in front of teammates is definitely the wrong way. Especially when you are the undisputed leader of your team.

Not a huge Windy fan... but there's a pretty good article this morning on ESPN about LeBron trying to bring Pat Riley's culture to the Cavs.

One interesting tidbit I hadn't heard before was that Blatt had a habit of being late to team meetings/practices...

"James, a stickler for punctuality, was continually upset by players not being on time. Film sessions, buses, flights -- the lack of professionalism burned James. Sometimes it was Blatt, who was supposed to be setting the example himself, who was late."

I think Blatt was in over his head and honestly, Lebron didn't have a choice but to take things over. There were so many times when I saw Blatt and he looked like a goat with a spinning wheel. Lebron saw it and realized if they were going to have any success, he was going to have to be the defacto coach, too.

Jesus this is why I started the other thread. This thread can be about Miami attendance and LeBron vs Kobe and the Put Up thread can be about the Finals.

Sticky it please

Why do people care what is discussed on a particular thread? This is about The Finals, which include Lebron, during a conversation about Lebron, Kobe came up. Big fucking deal.

This is an open forum, dude guy, you might have to read something you don't want to. Can't live with that? Go read articles written about The Finals. Problem solved.

Also a pretty cool quote from RJ on how Channing Frye helped team chemistry....

"And when Channing Frye arrived in a midseason trade, even he helped open communication within the team without even knowing it.

"Channing was that new kid in school that doesn't know that there's cliques and he just sits at the table with everyone," Jefferson said. "He puts random people on text chains. All of a sudden I was just on a text chain with LeBron, Kev and [Jones]. You're just like, 'Why did you include us?' He's like, 'I don't know, you guys are the ones I wanted to talk to.' All of a sudden the four of us are texting through a game."

I kinda hear what your saying here. you could kinda see it in Blatt's eyes sometimes that he was having a bit of a hard time coping...

Understandably so. If the Cavs win this year, it might be just as much the changing of the coach as it is finally having a fully healthy Big 3.

Just a thought.

That is, of course a possibility. Money talks and Kobe has lots of it. From what I remember in following the case though, the prosecution went to trial before they had enough evidence to get a conviction. It basically came down to a small town DA trying to "bag an elephant." If memory serves, he was ultimately fired for his handling of the case.

The sad part is that one of 2 things happened. Either a girl was raped and didn't get justice, or Kobe and his wife were unfairly dragged through the mud costing Kobe millions of dollars and putting a pretty permanent stain on his name.

Unless one or the other of them comes out and says "I lied" we're never going to know for certain.

nah, i'm STILL a Lakers fan. not MY fault your feelings get hurt when someone roots against your boy...

Ohh I don't care if you root for the Warriors. All I care about is if the Cavs win a title. I won't say another word if they win. This is all I will say, ""

Laker fans. They are now Warrior fans in this series, but I think that is obvious lol.

Yes, because fans whose teams aren't in a playoff series never pick a side. The funny thing is, if Lakers fans were on here supporting the Cavs, you wouldn't be bitching about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there records of the girl texting her friends after it happened saying something like "OMG you're never going to believe who I just had sex with" or something like that?

I saw this on ESPN. Not good if the coach shows up late lol
