There was nothing wrong with the Decision.

Going around saying "LeBron got Blatt fired" is the same as someone going around saying "Kobe raped a girl". Just because a lot of people believe it, doesn't make it true.
For the record, I don't have any problem with other people feeling the way they do about LeBron.
Just because I disagree and state my opinion doesn't mean I'm desperate to defend him or advocating that everyone like him.
I disagree. There is, however, plenty of evidence that shows Lebron was, at the very least, indirectly responsible for Blatt being fired.
Done.
I don't think it is, we want to sticky the Put Up or Shut Up thread if we could?
You still want to "defend" him. It's all good Kobe has retired we don't have to see him anymore. Honestly though this last season I really liked Kobe, I don't dislike him as much anymore.
From a PR standpoint, it hurt him pretty good. On a national level, he came across as an arrogant shit, and his marketability did take a good hit.
He could have left the Cavs and nobody outside of Ohio would have given a shit, but The Decision raised the ire of a lot of folks.
Some good certainly came out of it, as you pointed out, but to suggest that there was nothing wrong with it is either foolish, or disingenuous.
I disagree.
Unless you are saying that any person in any organization important enough to hold veto power is indirectly responsible for everyone fired during their employment. In which case, there would be a lot of players indirectly responsible for a lot of coach firings.
As far as LeBron being "unwilling" to meet with Blatt after signing... that is just more made up bullshit. All we know is they didn't meet right away. And LOL at the idea of that being evidence of LeBron having Blatt fired 20 months later.
Jesus this is why I started the other thread. This thread can be about Miami attendance and LeBron vs Kobe and the Put Up thread can be about the Finals.
Sticky it please
It's your right to disagree. But you can't deny Lebron publicly disrespecting Blatt in front of teammates and national tv audiences.
I do agree that we don't know for certain why Lebron took so long to meet with Blatt. But one would think that the guy who is being brought in to "save the franchise" would want to meet with the head coach asap to see what his plan was and try to make sure they were on the same page. Heck, I'd think Lebron would have wanted to meet with him before he agreed to come back.
I'd say that when you combine that with the way Lebron treated him, we can make an fairly educated guess though. End of the day though, we don't know why Lebron didn't meet with him soon after agreeing to return.
HAS to. some o' these cats get all butt-hurt if you aren't willing to join them in their LeBron circle-jerk...
"how can you hate LeBron?! LeBron is the greatest!! how DARE you hate LeBron?!"
last I recall you don't have to LIKE anybody. friggin' crybabies...
Laker fans. They are now Warrior fans in this series, but I think that is obvious lol.
I agree here big time. I could tell for the most part that during Blatt's entire career with the Cavs, he and Lebron were never on the same page. Lebron wanted Lue, and while you can't "prove" it, we all know who runs the show in Cleveland; he doesn't wear a suit, he wears #23.It's your right to disagree. But you can't deny Lebron publicly disrespecting Blatt in front of teammates and national tv audiences.
