Ingram is better and fits the Lakers needs right now because he's a better shooter and defender. Simmons is more talented overall and has more upside.

Maybe. Much of the blame seems to be falling on having a team that wasn't very talented and a coach who wasn't very good though.

Ok, thanks. On both comments.

:agree:

Ingram has that perceived aloofness/ lack of motor like Wiggins.

Physical tools are there.

Just have to work hard and want it.

If he's anything like Wiggins.....I want that kid.

Simmons is nice but in college....a superstar can propel his team into the Tourney and a deep run. The fact LSU struggled and sucked concerns me....even with what Trojan said.

I saw Simmons play a few games but not very familiar with Ingram.

Is there reason to be concerned at all that LSU sucked with a talent like Simmons? Does it speak to his lack of leadership at all? This is something I've been thinking about lately.

Agree with TF12 :puke:.

Not his game.

His perception.

He's a better rebounder and much better playmaker than Wiggins.

If I had to compare him to someone, it would be the Greek Freak.

I saw a stat somewhere that kyrie and love are rated the worst pick and roll combo in the league. Curry and green eyes just got bigger.

Actually, I was referencing Joe Johnson. Guess you could say the same about Deng.

Joe Johnson played fairly well in Miami after he was picked up....13.4ppg (on 52% shooting), 3.6apg, 3rpg, and 1spg.

In the playoffs he averaged 12.4ppg (albeit on 43% shooting), almost 5rpg, and 2.6apg.

Joe Johnson played great for Miami during the regular season and in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Then came the 2nd round....Joe Johnson played horribly.

It happens. Bad matchup most likely.

Normally I'd agree with you. But a majority of the shots he was getting were wide open and he looked slower. He's going to be 35 at the end of June. That's why I mentioned age starting to catch up to him.

I get it now..my bad.

I thought you were talking about Deng.

That was the first guy DJ and I were talking about for the Lakers.

He was the player that I said played well and showed heart after being injured.

He can still play 23-25mpg and his passing is a plus.

Correct and then you said JJ for 2 years.....either would work for me as a bridge a starter till Ingram is ready. I want a veteran at SF at least the first half of the season so we're not a bunch of youngters in the starting lineup.

And I hope we can dump Nick Young on some team for a 1st rounder (in the 18-25 range) or 2nd rounder and a minor bench player.
