When you have MJ, the Logo, and Patrick Ewing your supporting cast needs to be just that, a supporting cast... Shane Battier is a perfect compliment to a team who needs spot up shooting from deep (career .384 3pt % over 3800 attempts), and a wing defender with size (6'8" 220 pounds officially)... If necessary I can swing him to the 4 and bring Lewis in but I don't believe that to be necessary as Larry Nance is a defensive stud as well... A career 2.2 blks per game, he also had a sweet jumper to go along with his high flying act scoring a career average 17.1 ppg (.546 shooting %)... A supporting cast like that will ensure nobody can double and if you can't double Jordan I don't care who you have you're in trouble... The spacing I have is amazing by the way... 2 3pt threats 2 bigs who can play free throw line in and Jordan...
My bench while inexpensive continues with the theme of support... Nate McMillan is a 2 time all defensive player who is only there to give West 10/12 minutes rest maybe less in that if I need a shooter instead of defense I can play Hawkins at the point with Jordan being the main focus... Hawkins is my 3pt threat (.394 3pt %)... Unlike many of the 3pt specialist he averaged double digit scoring all but 2 of his 12 year career while peaking at 22ppg... Reggie Lewis was a rising star before he unexpectedly passed away... The heir apparent to Bird averaged 20.8 ppg his last 2 seasons, solid leader off the bench... Zbo brings that low post presence off the bench... Nick named first name 20 last name 10 by NBA tv analysts he consistently puts great numbers working the high low with Marc Gasol, as it happens Sabonis will play that role... The original Marc Gasol, IMO playing in the same conference as prime Shaq hurt him in that he had to hang with Shaq several times a year including the playoffs... He's still maybe the best passing big ever and a solid scorer and defender... In all I think my horses are too strong and have just enough help to win...

It will be tough to defeat Jordan in the voting as usual but I feel my team of 5 HOF starters should be able to get it done. This group has everything and all roles covered. The Kidd and Dirk pick and roll would be absolutely amazing to see. Wade will be be the guy who can penetrate the defense and create his own shot. Mullin will provide the spot up shooting along with Kidd and Dirk. Mikan low post scoring along with Dirk. Defensively have Mikan protecting the rim with Kidd and Wade as a great defensive backcourt. I could not think of many guys I would rather go against Jordan with than Wade personally. They both have that killer mentality. Bench is solid too with Free and Rider solid scorers, Williams at one point one of the top 2 PGs in the league, Oakley putting people on their asses and Carroll a 17 and 9 career average.
