It certainly has played below expectations for the past few weeks, that is for sure.

I have my doubts if the Ms still hold one of the 3 WC spots after this series with Cleveland.

I am still a believer in the post season... but my beer can is 1/2 empty.

The 7 games against Cleveland do loom large. Sure, all wins count as 1 and same for losses, but this is a team almost certain to be headed to the playoffs and could be the team the M's face if they get in. At least for their mental health the rest of the way, they can't afford to get destroyed by them. Anything less than 3 wins is a disaster and it would be nice to see them get more than 4 of the 7.

Yesterday's game was all some next level frustration from a fan's perspective.
There should be no reason why they could only mustered up 2 hits against a 38 year old pitcher with a well above 6 ERA. Didn't really help with the umpire's strike zone being about as big as a 60" TV.

But hey, it's not uncommon for these guys.

The thing for me..is..i would like it if
the mariners.
