QB - Extremely Talented, just not experienced
HB - Rex is a good staple, and the freshmen coming in will make an immediate impact
WR - Very young, but looks like we have 3 or 4 good receivers that will be threats in the passing game for once.
TE - Kyler Reed is a good receiving TE but other than that we are on the shallow end
OL - Deep, untapped talent sitting there. Not a strength, but not a weakness either.
DL - Deepest corps of our team. I believe we have the best DL in the country, and it's not even close.
LB - barring more injuries, anyone playing beside LD is going to suffice any troubles we have there.
Secondary - I like our safeties, but i reallly like our corners. Ciante is a rising star for sure.

I agree for the most part, good post.

Couple things i would argue are the TEs as i think Cotton and Long are more than serviceable, but we do need more depth

Also, i would say our DTs are extremely solid, but outside of Cam, our DEs are big question marks.

Otherwise i agree mostly, and thanks for stimulating football talk. :thumb:

I don't think linebacker depth will become an issue, but if compton or fisher go down, the drop off will be noticeable.

I completely forgot about Ben Cotton. That's my bad.

Have Compton or Fisher really stepped up yet? Expectations were really high for these two when they were recruited.

Lavonte David made a quick impact.

I think this defense could be Pelini's best so far @ Nebraska (including 03).

His recruits will be on the field after a few years in this system. They'll be fast and be where they're supposed to be.

For it to bed a good fortune telling we will need to leave WR's and TE's completely off the list, otherwise it is just wishful thinking like normal. We will have a pretty good rest of the team with huge ?'s on special teams and QB, slightly less with the O'line, and we are walking a pretty tightrope at LB. That's just me
