So Brady still remains the only player to unanimously win the MVP in the NFL. At least one writer has said that he voted for Brady with his vote as he though Manning had the best season but that Brady meant more to his team being successful.

Thoughts? Obviously going to bite my tongue as I am a bit biased on this one.

"Manning had maybe the greatest regular season of all time, but I just love the taste of Tom Brady so much that I'll vote for him no matter what happens." :noidea:

They should take away his right to vote then...his vote will only go to Brady until he retires.

Dude is nuts.

Brady is the MVP of the Pats - we get that.

League MVP is about who's the MVP of the entire league and that's NOT Brady.

Yet another reason to hate the Pats and the people from NE.

I kinda get the argument for voting for Brady when the Pats won the regular season matchup and Brady lacked weapons all year...

but yeah...

Peyton seems like a no brainer

I get it until I look at the teams and see that Brady had a great running game and a great defense most of the year around him. Manning had a pretty decent run game but for most of the year had a bottom 1/3 defense. Yes they have come on as of late with some guys getting healthy but for the first part of the year he had to average close to 40 points to win some of those games.

Not to the Pats fan...

Besides the ones already mentioned on here... How many fans truly thought that way? Of course Peyton was going to be the MVP and deserved it

Jim Miller, former Bears and Steelers QB. Also a former Spartan, which makes his decision to vote Brady that much weirder.

That's the way I took the OP. One writer voted for Brady since he meant more to his team. By 'his' did he mean his - as in the writer/voter - or his as in just the Pats? I took that to mean the writer was a Pats fan.

Actually it was former NFL QB Jim Miller who now has a show on XM radio.

he played for like 1/2 dozen teams but his longest tenure was 4 years with the Bears.

And he's from Michigan so not a Pats homer.

He will get to defend his vote on his radio show for several days. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what motivated his vote.
