Thanks Dude!

(I think)
No prob bro, was honest for the most part. You make this place fun. Aree with most of the grades, although it seems you graded on the curve. Too many A+ including the Pats.

yeah, I like to compare it to what I personally expected

Saints/Vikes/Jags, hard for me not to give a high grade considering what I expected

Steelers/Pats doing exactly what was expected deserves some love in that respect I thought

True. No team should have an A except the Iggles. Most people saw Philly as an emerging threat ready to contend for a lower playoff spot. No one expected them to have the best record in the NFL after 12 weeks.

People looking at the Jets roster in July were predicting a 2-win season, if that. That have hugely exceeded expectations. Those games you refer to that they blew were games no one expected them to be in four months ago. I think you are irritated because you were hoping for that 2-win season and getting a high draft choice/franchise QB?

I don't care about "them" or "they". I go with what the Vegas odds makers say and they had it at 3.5 to 4 depending on the book. If they win another game or 2 they've exceeded expectations. I don't know if you saw the games but Cleveland outplayed them but missed 2 field goals and Jax had them beat and shit the bed.

The Jets may still get a QB in the draft. The Niners have theirs and I'm not sure if the Jets will win another game. But 2 of the big prospect QB's are saying they might stay in school so who knows what will happen?

Well done. Some teams are playing much better than expected and others are garbage compared to what was expected.
Pats deserve B+ or A- at most. Beginning of season was torture, but they are playing solid ball now.

Watch think will actually happens with Bowles, your feelings aside?

Thats gonna be a tough call i think

I don't think Bowles fate is decided yet. If they win a couple of more games and cut down on the dumb penalties I can see him coming back. The young players (The two safeties they drafted and Anderson especially) have played well so Bowles has that going for him and for the most part they play hard.

Agree, Eagles deserve top grade as we enter Q4 of season.

Very nice right up. As far as my team goes, I don't expect a Rams type jump next season. I expect another roster purge although not as big as this past year. I expected more than one win at the start of the year, but with 21 players on IR it is not surprising as it has been too much for a rebuilding team with a lack of roster depth to overcome.

49ers - Grade D In a pretty weak NFL, even a team in transition should find more than one win. The future is bright with Jimmy G and what they hope is the right young HC to lead them. This has the potential to be next seasons LA Rams

Meh....they're a 4-12 type of bad team that suffered a LOT of bad luck in games early on, and then took on about as many injuries as any team in the league. Got Jimmy Polo so this alone makes me have at least an eye open to the future.

yeah, I think we could haggle over my grade, but the future being something to look forward to with that team, is more important......Dont get me wrong, my grades are of major importance, but ya catch my drift

Falcons would be an A if it weren't for Matt Ryan being an F-. Amirite Dirt?

Nicely done @DirtDirtDirt
In all honesty I was not anticipating this analysis, but after reading it I am feeling pretty fucking guilty about not doing so. I vow to you today that I will doubly anticipate next year's.

I give Dirt an A+ results vs. expectation for this thread.

I expected to get "blah blah blah Brady overrated . . . . blah blah blah . . . . AFC East sucks" and we actually got something with a little thought in it. I for one am amazed.

Yes, but your amazement bar is very low to start. :D

AFC North

Steelers - Grade A+ An embarrassing loss, a head scratching loss, and a couple of wins that should have ended in a much more dominant way, other than that, here they are, lining up perfectly for a Week 15 war with the Pats for AFC supremacy. This team has only one mission and finally getting over the Pats hurdle is really what defines this season for them

Ravens - Grade B- An offense that will scare no one in a month, but a defense that can always be dangerous come playoff time. This is an unimpressive B- but they deserve credit in a season of limited expectations, to be one of the postseason teams as we sit here today

Bengals - Grade D Uninspiring team that screams for a complete rebuild around Mixon and AJ. This team defines 7-9, and the Steelers can put the nail in the coffin of their season. Even with a win this week, id be shocked if this team has it in them to reel off a strong finish

Browns - Grade F Poor Coaching hire, more competitive recently, and Kizer has shown some decent flashes. if Gordon can stay on the field, he, Coleman, the rookie TE, Crowell and Duke, the return of Joe Thomas, and the core doesnt look all that terrible. But 0-11 is 0-11 and an F is the only grade that can be attached to that
Honestly the Browns deserve worse than f.
