I don't remember anticipating this analysis
As the late great Tom Brady once said "This is for my fans, everyone else can fuck off"
I don't remember anticipating this analysis
Word. Pretty good. But giving the Patwiots an A+ was pretty fucking gay.Great work Dirt

After too many requests to count for my Week 12 NFL Grades, I've decided to put it together for everyone
(if you cant detect the sarcasm in that statement, please quietly exit this thread)
Anyways, these grades on not solely based on W/L records, but more importantly, Results vs Expectations, as well as competitiveness and general effort as far as what ive witnessed this season watching a lot of football
So here we go:
AFC East
Patriots - Grade A+ This isnt just a homer grade cause everyone knows i love my Pats, but gotta give it to them. I dont think anyone ever thought winning the AFC East was in question, but after a sub-par start, there was some speculation that this would be the beginning of the end. Since Week 5, the best scoring defense in the NFL. Brady is the MVP of the league as of today. The 16-0 speculation was never very realistic after Edelman went down especially, but 14-2 is very attainable, no one would be surprised.
Bills - Grade B Bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team thats hard to figure from week to week, but at the end of the day, they sit in the thick of the playoff race through 12 weeks, and i doubt many people saw this coming
Jets - Grade A- Again, this is a "results vs expectations" grade, and the expectation by many many around the game was that this Jets team could be historically bad, a lot of predictions of an 0-16 season. They are only 4-7 but play so way above the talent level on the roster every week. They could have won any of the losses to Atlanta, NE, Miami, Tampa, Carolina. They are not an easy W by any stretch, they are within striking distance of a win every single week, pretty impressive compared to what was expected
Dolphins - Grade F As ugly a 4-7 team as you will see in the NFL. Turning Jonathan Stewart into Jim Brown a couple of weeks ago was the clearest sign this team has mailed it in. Followed up by surrendering 30 points to Ryan Fitzpatrick, and a non competitive showing in Foxboro last week. Some could point to the Tannehill loss, I personally never saw him as that much of a difference making QB...Too much talent on both sides of the ball to have the mostly non competitive season they have had.
Shit . . . When Zig finds out you wrote all that for here instead of there. . . You'll be lucky to get banned.
LMAO
trying to copy and Paste it, but ya know
Its me
Disagree about the Jets. They've blown several games and their wins were crap. They beat the Browns, the Bills at home on a Thursday which is always a huge plus for the home team, Miami after they had just done more travel in 2 weeks than all but 5 teams will do all year and Jax coming off their trip to London. They're a b minus at best. Vegas had them at 4 wins and they'll be underdogs in all their remaining games.
Once again, an intelligent, eloquently worded, interesting analysis by dirt is slowly but surely morphing into a Tom Brady is (fill in the blank) thread. Par for the course in Hooplatown.
People looking at the Jets roster in July were predicting a 2-win season, if that. That have hugely exceeded expectations. Those games you refer to that they blew were games no one expected them to be in four months ago. I think you are irritated because you were hoping for that 2-win season and getting a high draft choice/franchise QB?Disagree about the Jets.
Eh, Count me as someone that saw this roster as the worst I thought Ive ever seen back in August
I cant shake that from my mind.....I think Bowles has earned a return trip, compared to watching my Giants every week, I have apprecciated the effort of the jets in every game
Pretty spot on aside from the grades and comments.
Nice work.
The offense was a mess but the D has players and Jamaal Adams was seen as a beast coming out of college so I expected them to win 4 or 5. Bowles is a terrible coach. The team is 2nd in the league in penalties and takes incredibly dumb penalties. They had a 12 man on the field last Sunday coming off an injury. Multiple times this year they've had delay of game calls coming time outs
