I've been right about the past 3 series. Won series against the A's and KC, but seemed pretty clear they weren't going to win a series against the O's or the Yanks. They're just much, much, much better ballclubs. Besides losing both series, I predicted we'd get swept by either Baltimore or NY. I still think it's a distinct possibility. This team simply won't contend against good clubs with any consistency.

Kirby is a prima donna bitch and a mental midget. Anything goes remotely wrong and he falls to pieces. That's not Servais's fault and you don't just pull him and deplete the bullpen after less than 3 innings. Not unless he gives up a lot more and especially not in a stretch like this where you have zero days off for 17 games in a row. Just mo.

Yanks pitching is very good. M's hitting is monumentally awful. Even without the Yanks having better bats, that makes a sweep very likely to me.

I say maybe 7 runs total for the M's in the series and 45 strikeouts.

took a couple series' worth of bloop AB's consecutively against probably the best relief pitcher this year to get that going. the very definition of a fluke.

I do that every time they fall behind. It's like daring them to make me into a liar. Unfortunately, they seldom do.

M's could well lose the next 3. Maybe they sneak out one more. Who knows.

This is 54% of a team at best. I still don't believe they can make the playoffs as currently built and I'll believe that even if they get hot and string some wins together over a stretch.

i hate that stadium btw. i was actually at the first game ever played at it. it was preseason back when i had friends who lived in brooklyn and could actually afford to visit ny.
