Sadly it was not a satire. It was the great Howard Lincoln explaining the business of baseball and his role in it. It often said his job was to make the owner money and not winning. I posted it because it has been a blueprint used by every owner before and since. NW baseball is a business and only us fools see it otherwise. While we are all having meltdowns or heartburn over this stuff, they are sitting back smiling and smoking cigars knowing their plan is working perfectly.
