Britton is having a tough time since returning from the DL. Obviously the O's season is lost but by also continuing to use Britton they are showcasing that he is losing values as well. It's a tough call imo.

nope Zach is in spring training . he will get his sinking fastball 97 mph back . who ever gets him will be very happy . true they may not get as many prospect but I thing they will get 1 atleast psst I would love to sign him back

I just like Pazos with a bigger role, preferably the set up guy IMO, but Jerry has spent alot on Nicassio and Colome but a lefty specialist if they do expand Pazos role, is a need and he could do that, but no idea what Baltimore would want back.

I will never understand using your only LH stopper in the 6th inning game after game. Today was the first time in a month he pitched later in the game.

And I looked it up, there is no rule that says you have to pitch your 7th and 8th inning setup men the entire inning. He can actually mix and match. Who knew???...apparently not SS.

I think Pazos going into the year was just a guy to them in the pen, so maybe it's ego that won't allow it I don't know.

Yea that's pretty much where I am at and probably the reason why I'm hesitant to go all in on Servais. I kind of figured this regime would use more analytics but Servais still manages like its the 80s or 90s.
Dee Gordon is probably the worst guy you could have lead off but he's fast so I guess based on old school lineup managing he must lead off.
As for the pen yeah, this whole inning role thing is dumb. Outside of Diaz you gotta play matchups as none of these guys have proven to be consistent other then Pazos. Leblanc was at 60 something pitches and pulled to face Davis in the 6th, that left no one to face Davis in the 8th other then the "8th inning guys." I'd like to see that my manager understands matchups and the gameflow rather then have pre determined inning roles every night.
You can get away with that shit against Baltimore but we already saw it bit them once against the Yankees and once against Boston.

Agree 100%. I mean it took them what 6 weeks to start using Pazos over Scrabble in leverage situations?
