this is good depth....and elias...up.

mariners have pitching depth..not hitting...so ..when haniger and lewis out.....not much back there....so far.. next year will be diff.............i suppose

Not that I needed to look @ team stats to know this ... but here it is:

Why do we suck ? Watch an M's game and you lose track of how many terrible at bats and so many swings at terrible pitches no where near the strike zone. Yea all teams are afflicted with this ( it's a part of baseball - getting fooled by the pitcher ) BUT ... it happens far more often to the Mariners than other ball clubs.

Here is the worst 15 team batting averages - yup we are DEAD LAST of 30 teams

I stand corrected - the above stats are 2021 season end

The Mariners are currently #18 overall team avg ( of 30 teams ) with a current .232 average

Wouldn't be a first time. We saw this mess under Zdurencik before signing Edgar on as hitting coach, and saw it quite a bit last year as well.

We could sure use Papi's guidance again.

Then again, that list isn't exactly updated, is it? They still use the old name for Cleveland.

Souza just a 1 man disaster so far. Bases loaded 1 out and he chops the 1st pitch into an easy DP.

Next half inning he's playing deep and absolutely belly flops on a shallow fly ball for a 3 run triple.

That's some impressively hot garbage baseball right there

Mariners getting pretty good at losing games on 1 swing of the bat:

The other day Grand slam and they lose 4-0

Tonite Springer bases clearing triple scores 3. Currently 3-0 in the bottom of 8th

"Anemic" doesn't even begin to describe what we have here.

I doubt there's a word out there that describes them perfectly just yet, but give it time; someone's bound to come up with it.

outfield seems ok..they need these guys to hit..a bit better
