1. ARod, 41 - 2000
2. Sexson, 39 - 2005
3. Edgar, 37 - 2000
3. Boone, 37 - 2001
5. Boone, 35 - 2003
6, Sexson, 34 - 2006
7. Ibanez, 33 - 2007
8. Branyan, 31 - 2009
9. Cruz, 29 -2015
9. Ibanez, 29 - 2013
11. Beltre, 26 - 2007
11. Buhner, 26 - 2000

Cruz, on pace for 44, has a legitimate shot at the single season record. And right now he is extremely hot as the Ms head to homer haven Coors Field.

Interesting note: 5 of the entries on the list came in the team's first 4 years in Safeco and only 7 entries in the last 12 years. I guess that is a reflection of how badly the team has sucked since 2004.

and 3 of the 11 were LH'd which I thought was the easier side. Just shows that if you get a legit hitter, he can still hit. Amazing.

I'd like to see Cruz beat Arod's record... I don't want to see Arod leading any stat categories for the M's other than K's...

How pathetic that Cruz is the first player since 2009 to hit 30 HRs for the Mariners.

For those of you who ddid not get to see it, Cruz' 31st homerun of year was a 463 foot piss rocket to dead center. The man is a beast.

Yesterday was the 108th game of the season, or the 2/3rds marker. One third of the season left. Cruz' pace is now 46.5 homeruns.

And your darling Mariners are on pace to go 75-87.

He must be hardcore roiding again. He has stayed healthy and continued to hit like this at his age, extremely impressive. He is better now than he has ever been in his career, not many 35 year olds can say that.

Hell, this offseason I was expecting maybe .270 with 27 HRs or so for the year. He has vastly exceeded my expectations.

I'm perfectly fine with him roiding. I wish he would share with Robbie and Seagar. Just don't get caught, bro. And, yeah, 27 homeruns and a .270 BA is about where I had him too.

At least SOMEONE on the team is exceeding expectations.

This makes the front office angry. They pay these guys to fail.

He has 9 HRs at Safeco, and 24 on the road. If he went deep at Safeco as frequently as he did on the road, he'd have 48 HRs right now, which sounds absolutely absurd because that would put him on pace for something like 60 or so HRs.

Now on pace for 47.7 homeruns. Also leads the entire major leagues in hits. That is probably even more surprising than the homeruns.

He has been extremely well rounded offensively. Cruz should seriously be considered as an MVP candidate. Tied for second in BA at .325 - #1 is .326, tied for 1st in HRs, first in hits, second in SLG% at .607 first is SLG% .608, and second in OPS .998, #1 is 1.002.

Cruz is either first, or a close second in most of the most important offensive statistics.

This year Cruz now has the most homeruns any Mariner has hit in the past 9 seasons. His odds of catching Arod looked pretty good before this neck thing slowed him down. Hopefully he will still be hot when he gets back in the liineup.

On pace for 48 on the year.

14 HRs in the last 23 games for Cruz. Currently leads the majors in HRs. At this pace, this will be his second straight season with the most HRs in MLB.
